This really gets on my nerves, not with the farmer, but with the RTO & Govt. What're they doing with so much money? Why don't they spend some of these money towards civic sense & traffic discipline? I'm very sure that all the Govt organizations can run in 3 digit profits & do better, but for the old rats who keeps to maintain status quo & bureaucracy.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

The government/ RTO are thieves...! I mean, instead of having a fair lottery system, they are minting money....?!?!?
Agree people are ready to pay, but where are the Ethics on part of the RTO?

i'm in chandigarh too.. for my p180 I got 0180.... for my Swift i got 4.. and my bro got 7777 for his r15.. and all these for free in chandigarh ..

wow..you knew 'someone' in the office and number 4 was alloted to you for free? very good if you did but I think they have to be answerable for these numbers now as they auction all those numbers from 1 to 9. so getting 4 without paying a dime is great, indeed.Comment

Now that this gentleman has raised the bar to 10 lakh, future auctions will go only one way, that is up. CH 01 AB 0001 was auctioned for 4.5 lakh and now CH01AC 0001 for 10 lakh! what next? CH 01 AD for 15 lakh and so on?
