  • Yamaha closing down Pro-Service Center in New Delhi

For all of you Yamaha bike owners, if you used to get your bike serviced at the Yamaha Pro Service Center, Mathura Road,New Delhi, then you have to find a new service center for your motorcycle.

Yamaha is closing the Yamaha Pro Service Center, Mathura Road, New Delhi w.e.f 15th of this month due to certain Government regulations.

The company is sending text messages to its customers for notifying them of this decision. The text message says:

We are extremely sorry to inform you that due to certain Government regulations, we are closing Yamaha Pro-Service Center, Mathura Road, Delhi w.e.f 15th June 2010

    News Approved.

This is going to be a shock for the YAMAHA customers who are used to get their R15s and FZs serviced at the Mathura Road service center! But, I don't understand what "Government Regulation" are we talking about here...

im actually happy that they are shutting it down. The person who was sitting there ( some Mr. Singh ), was not a nice person at all.

If you went there with your bike maybe fitted with High power horns, they would simply note your chassis number/engine number and void the warranty on the bike. So you would not get warranty claims anywhere else.

Ive had interesting conversations with that gentleman, when i wanted to talk to someone in the company, and he kept telling me to bring my bike to the pro service. Finally when i asked him in what capacity is he serving the company, he had no answer, and i had had enough of dealers trying to fix my bike.

      Im happy.

The reason might be completely different i.e the company is not getting the returns that it has spent on building the service centre and hence they are shutting it down.

I got a HUGE grin on my face when I read this.

I'm with JD666 on this one. Not only Mr. Singh, but each and every guy sitting there was a prick. My FZ was having cold start problems (4 month old bike), and regular SVCs were useless as always in solving any problem, so I decided to go to the 'pro-service'. When i told them about the problem, they promptly told me to go away and get my bike checked from somewhere else. Great.

Good riddance. I hope they don't breed.

PS: the problem was caused by shit engine oil used by the SVC during service. I changed the oil myself, and it never gave me any problem starting even at 5 am in winter mornings - never visited a SVC ever since.
