Can't think about the dilemma of his wife and kids (who were following him on their car).
His wife cried inconsolably with his head in her lap at the accident spot. Cant even imagine it.

According to the news, he applied brakes at full force when he saw DCM van coming on to the road. With the braking force, he was thrown out of the bike and fell 20 feet away on the road. The bike skidded and hit the van.

Now I remember Kota Prasad. He acted as a villain in Siddam movie and he was terrific in acting. I am unable to see Kota Srinivasa Rao crying inconsolably. He is one of the finest versatile actors. Difficult to see him in this position.

Death is painful, even if it is of someone you have never heard of before. As said by one of our mates, lets not debate on this and that or the other related speculation.

Lets pray for the departed soul and hope that the family has the strength to bear the loss.

Further, lets not under-rate our self. We all are precious and it is our own responsibility to take care of our own selves.

      Take care, ride safe.

The Outer Ring road is still under construction around Hyderabad and there are many junctions to it without proper sign boards. Doing high speeds at those junctions is suicidal. You just cannot blame the lorry for entering the ORR at junction. They would not expect a bike to come at 200 kmph.

Another issue is, anybody who gets a two-wheeler license in Indian can ride a superbike. A lot of maturity and riding experience is needed for one to handle a superbike. Doing 200kmph in city limits or near road junctions is suicidal to say the least.

I feel speeds above 120 kmph on a bike are not safe on Indian roads.

All, there is a helmet at the accident spot and the rider has been riding with helmet.

              Here are the pics

              Sad stuff.
Well even if he was wearing a helmet, unless its strapped on its as good as riding lidless.

Speed is extremely relevant. One can blast at 300kmph on flat out open roads in rajastan cause you can see at least 400-500 meters ahead of you in a straight line. While in other parts of the GQ even doing 80 is a risk. When you can't see beyond a certain point ahead on the road, the speed should be equivalent of the braking distance upto that point on the road. If you cant come to a complete halt by that point, one should lower the speed so that they can stop in time. This just doesn't apply to India but everywhere else in the world. In India one has to be even more pessimistic !

A real unfortunate incident but things will not change much.
I think truck drivers are the most predictable drivers on the highway, dunno if they are reckless in your city and around. Also trucks are 10 ton vehicles that cant stop like a bike / car. Its natural that one has to keep a far more cautious approach to them. You can't blame them if you were the one going under their wheel in the first place.

Its sad that the larger/undamaged vehicle in the accident always gets the blame in India ! THe victim is given sympathy(which is natural) even if they were the ones in total violation of traffic laws !
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

I made a general statement about Indian roads. You never know what will happen on Indian roads and what will jump ahead of you all of a sudden.

On very few stretches you can do high speeds and they can be counted on fingers. Another problem is, people who drive/ride along with you will not follow rules on the highways. At high speeds, a small mistake is enough for a fatal accident. The small mistakes are common on Indian roads.

Very tragic on the part of his family since they were following him.
                  Absolute insanity riding without Helmets.

May his SOUL Rest In Peace.

I may be completely wrong but the way it looks in the pics, that helmet seems to have been placed there later on.

A good helmet should have broken into 2 on such powerful impact. Don't think someone who was riding a CBR would buy a cheap helmet. The helmet looks scratchless?

We bikers have to keep certain things in our heads all the while when we are riding,

1)Bikes are the most dangerous things on the road.
2)In case of an accident whether or not its the bikers' fault, bikers' will suffer.
3)One should be smart and reduce the chances of getting into a fatal accident by wearing proper riding gear, maintaining lower speeds inside cities and on roads which cannot be seen.
                            4) Blaming the truck/bus drivers would not get the dead ones back, the best we can do is respect all the things that use our roads.
                            5) Before twisting the throrttle, think about your loved ones who are waiting for you back at home. Biking is fun, it surely is, but lets make it fun for us and our families by being sane and safe....

May his soul rest in peace and his family gather strength to deal with this situation.

                              may his soul RIP...

day by day fast bikes are introduced in our market but the infrastructure and bikers minds are unable to keep pace with speed and BHP figures..daily while going to office i see lots of bikers riding zigzag and doing rat race in busy streets which is totally unsafe for pedestrians, passerby and for even bikers them self
