  • M&M gears up to launch its first entry level bike

After testing the market with two new scooters last year, Mahindra & Mahindra is now all set to expand its portfolio and introduce its first offering in the entry level motorcycles segment. The motorcycle, internally codenamed A02 and based on the old Kinetic Boss platform, will carry a price tag between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 and be launched sometime near the festive season. The engine will be imported from China, which will substantially lower the development cost for the new bike.

When launched, the new bike will go head-to-head against Hero Honda's ever popular CD series and Bajaj's Platina.

        Great. Another Made in China...

Lets hope it doesn't flop as bad as the Boss. Also hope the reliability and service network improves.

Slightly OT, I'd read a quote:
If god made everything, he's surely in China.
        You get the point?? :D

M&M is just trying to cash on in this growing bikers market.

It'll just boost up the chinese mft market.

A chinese junk from M&M. Why cant they bring something good, like a Decent Home-made 150 or a Quarter litre Hyosung? or a Maxi-scooter like Jupiter? If they can develop Scorpio and legendary Mahindra 4x4, why cant they make a decent bike?

Man, i miss old kinetic so much.

                my view

in my point of view M&M will not sucess if he LAUNCH the same bikes of KINETIC because all of us know that these bikes r not up to the MARK .

they have got more maintaince , low millage , n very less PARTS AVAILABLE in markets .....

what u think of this THREAD.......

After bringing in a commuter bike, M&M would also be launching a high performance bike in the months to come. It was earlier reported the M&M has been talking to UK and Italian based motorcycle manufacturers to launch a high end product.

In order to penetrate the Indian motorcycle market, M&M would have to arrive with some unique and interesting products as it would not be easy to stand against the likes of Hero Honda and Bajaj.
