  • New 125 cc scooter from Yamaha

A new 125cc scooter from the Yamaha stable has been released.

Have a look at the link below

    Yamaha says,
    BW's 125 - The rugged city scooter
The BW’s 125 is a commuter scooter designed for city life. Its 125cc, 4-stroke, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine gives you the kind of quick acceleration that’s ideal for stop-start urban journeys, while the chassis provides agile handling to glide through smaller spaces.

Its big, all-terrain style tyres offer great grip whatever the weather, and while the frame is light and easy to handle, it’s also durable and rigid. Riding with a passenger becomes an effortless pleasure thanks to under-seat storage for a full-face helmet, and a two-up passenger seat.

In addition, the low fuel consumption makes it both environmentally friendly and affordable to run.

^^ check 2010 bike launch speculation thread. there is a 150cc bike planned, using the FZ engine, conventional twin shock setup at the rear. styling like a beefed up gladiator.

Price to be around 50k for a drum version, and slightly higher for the disc model. Launching august.

The scooter is also planned, around diwali. This could really shake things up with slow deliveries from honda, and suzuki not really doing anything about it.

My offerings to the gods of speed -

                      - KTM Duke 200
                      - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

the BWS scooter sure looks funky.. if priced sensibly Yamaha has a product with potential.

                        I like it.
