Actually I had posted about this in the 2010 speculation thread as well (as the thread took time to get approved).
4-Valve Pulsars? Well after the Pulsar 135LS, the 4-Valve tech definitely seems likely to the bigger Pulsars as well. But why just limit to a 4-valve engine? I would also like to see an entirely new chassis as well.

But I am speculating here (after a long time!
) ... the 4V head will definitely climb up all the way till the 220 sometime in the future. Along with revisions to the handling/gearbox to the handle the change in performance.
This is not what I have heard from any source as such, but more of what I feel will be the next logical step from Bajaj._________________________

Chances are that you missed some pictures from my FB album of a new 220S...
I had to delete those pics from FB and lost those pics in a corrupt memory card.... but they sure had some neat changes.
- A different type of Carb....
- The engine head was different from the 200/220
Ping Santaa, he figured what it was before anyone else could...!
May be its the 4V pulsar after all, looks like a 220S to me...Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Totally agreed with Payeng here. It's high time, and all the more with the presence of more and more international players successfully selling their big machine, that Bajaj takes the niche of Pulsars to the next level. It's a loooong due for their most successfully bike ever. A completely new Pulsar from the core is what the time demands now.Originally posted by payeng View PostActually I had posted about this in the 2010 speculation thread as well (as the thread took time to get approved).

I totally agree with you. In direct comparison with other bikes like RTR 180, RTR 160, etc. the Pulsar chassis fades noticeably & miserably...Originally posted by payeng View PostActually I had posted about this in the 2010 speculation thread as well (as the thread took time to get approved).

Monoshock is not 100% necessary, but if they could incorporate Monoshock, alongwith a new lighter chassis suited to 17" wheels and spirited riding, they should be free from updating this for the next 3-4 years or so...
As we all know, UG3 chassis was unstable at higher speeds, so they had to undergear them to control speed. Even at 128 (on speedo) it's rear was shaking...
Then they used a bigger chassis/swingarm setup from P200 in P180 UG4, but the weight increased and still it is not the best in handling.
4 valves tech is almost expectable, but a chassis upgrade is very important...Last edited by Samarth 619; 06-28-2010, 10:44 PM.---
