This report reviews the top speeds of the 2010 MotoGP series from round one through to round six.
During this race season, the 800cc Grand Prix Racing Motorcycles have reached an astonishing top speed of 345.7 km/h.

Despite leading both the MotoGP Rider and Constructor Title chases, the Yamaha M1 has recorded the fastest top speed only once out of six tries.

Overall both the Honda RC212V and Ducati GP10 have been dominating the top speed traps.

Marco Melandri is the only rider to have topped the speed charts twice this season, although he was injured at Assen and unable to participate in the actual race.

Jorge Lorenzo, currently dominating the 2010 MotoGP season, has concisely placed mid-pack on the top-speed charts, again proving that it is not all about top speed but rather entrance speed, mid-corner speed, and most importantly exit speed.
