  • A Tent for Motorcycle Camping

Tent is large enough to hold not only the riders, but their motorcycle.

The Nomad Tent CompanyIt weighs six kg and packs into a space 20 by 53 cm, yet will hold two adults and 1200 ccs. Cost is $400 U.S., but that's just a couple of nights at the kind of inn you enjoy, isn't it? And do they let you bring your bike into the living room with you?

    News Approved.

At 400 odd dollars, those would be mighty expensive for budget tourers like me.

and who would like the keep the bike in the tent?? I'd rather leave it outside and let the air inside my tent clean and pure and not filled with the smell of fuel and exhaust gases.

Strange invention. I'd rather carry a light two man tent and a separate bike cover.

Being a bike enthusiast i know that my bike is as important as me.
Here in xbhp i have seen few pics here and dr where bike is standing alone in rain and rider is hiding somewhere! this is not done!
we always say love your bike, but when that m/c(Bike) needs me i was not dr, so how can i say that i m a true bike lover, I can't put my love in rain or snow,or heat........when I have an option.

Now emotions apart, coming to its design details ,it has been reported by that company that air ventilation 'll be dr.

            Design:
Frame design creates nearly vertical inner tent walls; the result is spacious, area-wide headroom, enough to stand fully inside tent
Adventure motorcycle bay is designed to accommodate a full size adventure tourer with panniers
Hooped pole configuration stands up under high winds and creates an impressively roomy interior
Flow-through venting circulates air from one end of the tent to the other, ideal in hot climates
Rectangular floor plan optimizes usable space and allows comfortable sleeping, space for a queen size air bed
Quick, convenient and sheltered access through two doors and two large vestibules
Hybrid floor combines fully, factory sealed seams and bathtub curves to create a tough waterproof finish
            Large vestibules improves livability
Mood-elevating color creates a pleasant interior even when the weather outside is uninviting.

And last but not the least , When a company that is only ment for designing and developing Tents, you can expect that thay 'll be somehow intelligent to
            put a ventilation system..

I was of the same opinion before I saw the pics. But this is something different & those guys have thought different. The motorcycle is parked still outside the tent, but covered.; and looks like the motorcycle tent doesn't have the roof (as seen on pic); if that were the case, then its not worth buying. Considering the US economy & their way of living, $400 is cheap.

These days, a North Face two man tent packs just slighly larger than an push button umbrella. And a light bike cover 1/4 of that! Much easier to carry around.

i think the tent has a separator between the bike and the rider, so there will be no question of smell of fuel & exhaust gases
