This is it. I am loving it. I think I will own this classic unless they put a stratospheric price for the 'lifestyle'.

No aargee! The product itself is iconic. Hence the "lifestyle" tag. And a good fit and finish with a super paint job does not hurt does it! You cannot really have a "lifestyle" product with a mediocre finish! (Or am I missing something from your question?)
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

No sir; but, what I'd expect are...
        - Retro looks
        - Fuel guage
        - High quality product
        - Good & neatly laid instrument panel (certainly should combine modern days + retro looks)
        - FI

I hope this isn't too much to ask; but if Vespa still offers a high quality product without a modern day touch, then, I really loose hope of owning a good scooter in this country.

PS - Even the Bonneville & HD are iconic, but, still move with technology (if not with ABS etc), things like FI, high power headlamps are taken care. Hope you got my direction of thought.

From what I've learnt, Vespa is offering the LX 125 which has all the modern day technology of the current Japs and even has a front disc brake, which I think may be a first in India. But it also has the retro clean design and layout that makes it so cool.

            Awesome!

Wow! I used to drive around my dad's Vespa 150cc. It is now 27 years old. Needed very few servicing, done by dad only.
Vespa quality is top notch, still after more then 2 decades body is amazing.
Really cool that vespa is once again coming among us.
Enjoy every minute of life. Don't waste it. sigpic

I dont see any disc brakes in the pics of the displayed models.

Well that's what I was told by some company sources last year. Maybe they've changed their minds, but I hope not!

Disc brakes present in Honda's Aviator top-end variant for a long time.

according to all picture posted around the web, I didn't find Vespa come with a disc brake....hope I guess they showcase top-end version of the scooter in the Auto expo.
