There is no official news about the updated cbr250r or new cbr300r launch for India. Only the activa 125 & cbr650f.

temuchin: It's just a concept bike. Production may occur.

Re: AE14: Honda Motorcycles Scooter India Updates from Auto Expo 2014

I was waiting for an affordable multi-cylinder sports tourer from Honda for so long, finally my dream came true. Before CBR650F, i was trying to convince myself to settle for CBR500R. But now i won't look at any other motorcycle to buy in the future. I will go and buy the CBR650F, even if it means selling my kidneys, hehe !

BTW with 4 cylinders, 650cc and 11.4:1 compression ratio, why is the power figure so low at 86bhp??? I am no expert, but going by such high comression ratio, it should have been producing at least 100bhp. I am not complaining, just wondering how is that possible, i will buy it anyhow, i think 86bhp is more than enough to tour all around India!

Honda's official video on youtube.com claims that CBR650F will be fuel efficient with good low and mid torque. Does anyone know what did they change in the engine to provide more mileage and less power???

CX-01 looks like an intersting concept bike. Clean design for a naked bike. But the engine looks like a higher capacity one 400-500 cc?

The 2011 CBR600F shares the same engine as CBR 600RR albeit with power capped at 100ps compared to the RR's 120. Fuel efficiency from owners for the CBR600F was between 15-20 kmpl as per fuelly reports. The CBR650F now uses longer stroke and has more emphasis on torque spread all across the rpm band making them comfortable for highway cruising. By cutting down on power, the CBR650F now claims a FE of 21kmpl which i think is almost in the range of the Ninja650F against which they are competing. 21(km/l)*17(tank capacity) = 357 kms which i think is a decent range for a sports tourer, especially an inline 4.

The frame is from the CBR 250R. I think the engine is too. But this is only a concept so everything can change.

No. I think they will take a year more to upgrade the 250R since 2013 colors are barely a year old now.
