HD has said they won't be bringing 500 one anytime soon to India. Only the Street 750.

        Ride safe and have fun.

Wow! 4.1 Lakhs ex showroom, so it could be around 5 lakhs on road!!
This could give a tough competition to the Bonneville! Eagerly waiting for a comparo between Bonneville and the Street !
Also, i had heard that India would get only the 750cc for now and not the 500cc. Maybe they would release it later!
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Does anyone know if HD is going to help customize the bike like the Street Custom Concept?

Considering that HD makes sackloads of moolah on customisation, it should be feasible.

Considering the price of street 750, can Suzuki justify their price tag of 3+ lakhs ex-showroom for Inazuma?
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

The bike looks great for the price. I was seriously considering Iron 883 but now, thanks to a considerable price difference, I'll have to think again. Hope they haven't skimped on the quality.

^ I don't know if you seen the 750 or not, but I saw it up close in the auto expo. My opinion is it doesn't look like a quality product and doesn't even match the Superlow in terms of presence or built and fit and finish. The price of 4.1 lakhs ex showroom might be good, but then it does look like the cheapest HD and cost cutting efforts are visible. They are giving MRF tyres! And that's the height of cheapness in a motorcycle from a life style motorcycle brand that Harley Davidson is. Even the much cheaper Duke 390, Royal Enfield Continental GT and the upcoming Hero HX250R are shod with Metzeller and Pirelli tyres. I am disappointed with the overall appearance and the lack of high quality that is visibly apparent in other Harleys.

Pricing wise yes MRF Tires are cheaper compared to Metzeller & Pirelli but I don't feel quality wise they are cheap.

Duke 200, R15, Pulser range all these bikes available in market are rolled off with MRF tires which one of the best suited tires for Indian conditions.

To give a first hand example I have friends who are currently running on MRF Revz on CBR 250, Ninja 300 and are quite happy with performance compared to stock tires.

I personally find MRF Revz better performer than my bikes stock IRC.

I think its a smart move by HD to use MRF tires and keep the manufacturing cost low.

I think its a smart move by HD to use MRF tires and keep the manufacturing cost low.

The MRFs might be good for an R15, D200, CBR250 or even the Ninja 300, but here we are talking about a 750cc V-twin motorcycle that weighs over 200kgs. Secondly, the IRCs are not even remotely in the same league of Pirellis and Metzellers - these two are class apart. I will give you an example, do you wonder why the Duke 390 comes with Metzellers? It's light but its very fast and torque is very good too. Ride it near the limit consistently and then replace the tyres with MRFs and then ride it again near the limit consistently. You will notice the lack in overall performance and confidence as well. MRFs are good for Indian conditions on variety of motorcycles but Pirellis and Metzellers are better in similar conditions when performance demands are higher (and it doesn't always mean doing high speeds).

HD 750 is a heavy motorcycle with a torquey engine. I do not believe MRFs are the appropriate choice regardless of their cost on such a motorcycle.

Moreover, HD is a premium brand. Yes, they have created their cheapest motorcycle for market like ours but cost cutting efforts like these are sad. Also, if they put Pirellis and Metzellers, the cost would only increase by few thousands, may be by 20-25k at the most. That is hardly a difference for a good quality rubber.

Again, this is just me who is unsatisfied with HD's effort and I feel that overall it's an average product at best.
