Day 10: Kanyakumari to Madurai
A splash and a dash is the best way to describe the day, as the wonderful highways of Tamil Nadu beckoned. All the more welcome after the slow speed two lane roads of Kerala! The roads exiting Kanyakumari lead you straight in the midst of the windmill farms and such an opportunity could not be missed. And the Benellis went off the beaten track onto a dirt road looking for a photo op with the mountains and windmills. And what a view that turned out to be. The almost arrow straight roads let the team make quick time to Madurai for the night halt, though technology in the form of the GPS once again led everyone round the bend. Quite literally actually, as the team travelled right through the heart of the city to cross over to the other side, since the GPS failed to give directions via the bypass! Madurai also finally gave the team a chance to catch up on pending work, as there was nothing else to do. No, really!
