Day 1 25^th May: Delhi to Jaipur

The flag off for the ride happened on the 25^th in New Delhi, from the headquarters of Suzuki India in Vasant Kunj. On a cool early Sunday morning, bikers of Delhi sacrificed their Sunday morning breakfast rides to meet and wish the xBhp team luck on this long and beautiful journey.

The meet started off with xBhpians of the Delhi Chapter rolling in on their metal steeds and with their arrival the mood of the morning was set. Laughter and banter filled the air, as bikers connected with each other and watched as the big bikes arrived. GODS and Born2Ride were the other biking groups who were there to see the GICR team off.

Sundeep Gajjar aka Sunny aka Motographer kicked off proceedings by introducing and explaining the theme of this ride and how Olx.in has powered xBhp to connect with bikers from across the country. Motorcycling gives a person the taste of real freedom, and Olx.in gives people the freedom to connect with buyers and sellers without the hassle of middlemen. The underlying focus for both is freedom and thus the bike to be built will be called The Freedom Motorcycle. Shell Advance, the performance partner for the GICR, will help xBhp and its steeds beat the heat and give the best performance required by the bikes. xBhp has been given the freedom to ride on the road by Suzuki Motorcycles, the motorcycle partner for the GICR, who have provided the team with four exceptional bikes in the form of the Suzuki Hayabusa, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and two Suzuki Inazumas. Four very capable bikes to tackle the roads of the country. Land Rover provided the GICR team with two Luxury SUVs, the very stylish Range Rover Evoque and the top of the line Range Rover Autobiography as backup vehicles for this 10000 km journey across the country. Samsung Mobiles has given us the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 to be able to blog and update on the go, with the phone turning out to be a useful navigation device as well, when moving around in cities. xBhp riders will stay cool this summer with Sunshield Apparel from Wrangler, the latest from the apparel brand. The riders will stay safe with riding gear provided by Zeus Motorcycle Gear, with the good quality jackets, pants, gloves and boots of the company.

The 9 member team travelling across India introduced themselves and spoke about their love for motorcycling. The team is comprised of Sundeep Gajjar, Sunil Gupta, Sandeep Goswami, Ashish Guliani, Himanshu Gupta, Mohit Pal, Abhishek Bhatt, Avinash Singh and Avinash Noronha. These bikers will be traversing the 10000 km journey across the country, flying the xBhp flag high and meeting up with as many bikers and groups as possible. Sunny then invited Dr. Arun Thareja, president of GODS and Ikhjot Singh Bhasin president of Born2Ride to speak. Bittooji of Bittoo Suzuki, Abhishek Upadhyay of OLX and Suresh Kumar of Suzuki also wished the team luck on this wonderful journey.
