The Italian company MV Agusta launched the RR versions of the Brutale/ Dragster. Both the bikes which are very similar in nature use the engine in the same state of tune. The 800cc engine produces 140 HP @ 13100 rpm, up by 15 HP, as the previous iteration produced 125 HP. Torque has also increased to 86 Nm @ 11000 rpm, up from 81 Nm previously.
Both the bikes look similar, but the Dragster has more of a retro styling, using spoke wheels. The new 2015 bikes also have the upgraded electronics with the MVICS 2.0 (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System). Duel injectors per cylinder, ride-by-wire, detonation and misfire control, 4 maps for torque deployment, 8-level traction control, and electronically assisted quick up and down shifting make up the electronic trickery these bikes are packed with. Tyres are a Bosch 9 ABS unit with RLM (Rear wheel Lift up Mitigation!) with 320 mm discs and 4 piston callipers at the front and a 220 mm at the rear. The bike uses a tubular steel trellis frame and an aluminium swingarm. The Marzocchi USD at the front and a Sachs unit at the rear do suspension duties. The bike weighs in at 168 kg and is available in two colours.
