The BMW S1000RR gets a bump in power from 193 bhp to 199 bhp. Weight of the bike has been reduced from 208 kg to 204 kg, when fully fuelled. The bike's reduced weight is thanks to a lighter chassis, which has also been tweaked for better handling. The bike also has a flatter torque curve past 5000 rpm to improve rideability. Styling cues include a newly designed headlight unit and a few electronic options will be available previously only seen on the HP4.
