this was amazing sagar....even im eagerly waiting for the rest of the pics to be uploaded....i really need some tips from you regarding this man...lets plan out for an another ride to LAVASSA man....im dying to go....any weekday....early in the morning....sunset at lavassa....wat say...

What a great day it was….

After deliberating with Mumbai guys on Saturday night it was only 3 of us who finally turmed up.

Me,ketan and Anirudh.
Additionally we had a new member joining on his red r15 ,jithin from kharghar.
We set out at around 7.45 from panvel and stopped at lonavla.had chai, left and reached at the venue at 10.30.
Don’t ask why we took so long.Ketan went through another route and we did a complete pune darshan from deccan,shivajinagar,chaturshrungi,chandni chowk and finally to the venue new English school.

When 4 R15s entered with guys wearing all the gear than we certainly got the looks from onlookers.felt good.I am not deliberating on the looks that SBK owners got

Our plan initially was only to meet sunny and guys see the event for sometime than leave but nothing of that sort happened.
This guy from castrol convinced us to participate and we also filled up the form just for fun.
Soon though when we saw people coming in and filling the ground at 11 (this is bcoz pune wakes up late.

no offense meant) our involvement in the hunt too soared up.
Soon we filled up the quiz ,said our passion story for a minute in front of a video camera (man u should have seen Ketan bhai…he was giving his full biking bio data

)
Than the interview…You should have seen the crowd standing in the corridors reminded of the days when I usually had to stand outside principal’s cabin in school.

Well my interview was with Sunny & Sunil G and it was a very good interaction.
Saw the lavasa pic on the laptop…awesome…!!!
After this the real fun started..it was 2 o clock by than and not a single soul I saw left the ground either for lunch or otherwise the entire time the event was on.
There were a number of events which tested the skill with particular bike ,control and overall handling.
Of the contestants shorlisted through the interview were asked to participate in the first event.
All four of us completed it according to the best of our and our bike’s abilities .
The list than got drilled down to 38 and personally for me I didn’t think I did quite that well (R15 and gravel/dust surface don’t go too well

)
Well Anirudh & Me both were selected for the next round.
Anrudh did exceedingly well here and I fared good.
It was now the time to declare top 20 contestents for the entire day and LOand behold we made Mumbai proud.Me & Anirudh both were in TOP 20

.
This was again a surprise ,Just when I was going to grab a smoke this guy from stage said and the next finalist is “nitin” please come on stage.
Boy to talk in front of Camera and the judges for about a minute unprepared was something I did the first time,did a decent job and enjoyed immensely.(next time will be better sunny bhai

)
Finally the winner had to be decided based on 3rd event and all of us participated with full enthusiasm.
It was now left to the judges to decide on the winner amongst the 20 selected and even they were in a tough spot for once during the entire event.
Than the time came to announce and again a surpirise ,four participants were selected to again compete against one another.
There was a semi final and a final again for the winner and boy oh boy what a final.
Two extremely opposite machines competing against one another (bullet 1999 and karizma 2008)
It was a darn too close for comfort ,even though it was a Bullet & karizma the skill level & passion of these two riders for all to see and all were cheering like Mad.
The winner was however only one and I will leave that to you to find out from your sources.

Sunny ,Old Foxx Sir & Sunil G :As I Had heard of them very Humble ,Politically correct

and down to earth.
Sunny :Courteous ,warm & friendly.Very passionate. Cool.

Sunil G:100% involvement in the entire days activities.Testing,trying out the events advising to participants.excellent.

Old foxx sir :The advisor and the ever so funny guy

.Awesome talking with him.

Looking forward to meet all three on 22nd.

Rohit talwar & castrol :Another very “in the Game”man.was moving around ,talking with the participants,getting their feebacks.wholesome involvement.

Venue :School (hmmm…wished there was a bit more )

Events: Very professionally managed.Personally not my favorite surface though.In depth details I have omitted coz I think they might change from venue to venue.(surprises again

)snehmads has posted details of the event.

Participation :quite good post 12 o clock.More than 180 people turned up and made pune proud.Its a 2wheeler city after all.Girls not only participated but kicked some bad A** too.cheers pune

Judging: Totally unbiased,Professional & fair.No issues no untoward incident in the entire day says something.Kudos to all the guys.

Arrangements:Good. could have been better in terms of food availability

Xbhp rocks as usual .got to be there to see.Still not many xbhp members present.Only 8-10 pune members were there.(we need to take it upon each one of personally to change that at Mumbai)

Pune members:Absolute Dudes.Ritwik,Sagar,Satya,Naren,NV,MG ..U rock.

Mumbai Plan :Guys We would want our Mumbai event to be as successful and hence would require maximum participation.
Get all your PR skills working..
Call friends,relatives,office colleagues,other bike forum members you are part of
Even those who are no riders will surely enjoy the entire concept.

All in all Paisa Vasool …..

that was awesome man.. read around 2-3 times..
really missed it man.. damn.! Sunday is 200% pakka man.. cannot afford to miss this.. wht could b of more exciting than this for a biker..... Biking event by Bikers for Bikers..!!
