I will. but i haven't touched the stem. Stem is not polished only that carbon area.
One more thing...when i was going to open my head 2 days ago. I saw some oil leaks from bore packing. Because when i previously removed the head the exhaust pipe hit the one long rod (the 4 long bolts where block and head stays) and the block feel the jerk and the Mobil leaked from bore packing.....it was my carelessness.
I doubt, the mobile has started leaking now.....not sure...so i cleaned it perfectly to check further leaking....i'm worried
if it is leaking then? opening a block and refitting it may damage the bore i think...whts your recommendation?
I'm just waiting for confirmation.
Mobil is leaking because bore o-ring is damaged. When you buy head o-ring kit, you get three o-rings for Rs. 44. But two are only used. The third one is bore o-ring and is used when bore is opened.
Usually when bore is opened then new rings are always replaced. But i will give you a method where no rings are required.
1. Open the head.
2. Open the bore bolt at the side of bore.
3. Open the timing chain roller bolt by the side of the bore.
4. Now slowly slide out the bore.
5. Ensure that piston is at TDC.
6. Slide the bore such that the piston comes out of bore till the gudgeon pin.
7. The rings must not come out of bore. If rings come out then new rings are required. Just see that the bore edge is above the gudgeon pin and below the rings.
8. Now take out the left side lock of gudgeon pin and push the gudgeon pin from right side. Make sure the piston doesn't come out of bore. Do not open both side locks, only open one side and push the pin out from other side.
9. Now replace the packing and o-ring.
10. Reverse the process and fit the gudgeon pin and lock before sliding down the bore completely. Also fit the timing chain roller and fit the bore. If the rings do not come out then no need of new rings.
And no bore doesn't get damaged if piston is taken out. Its just that new rings are required if piston is taken out.
If you haven't opened bore then take the help of mechanic. Bore is a place where no mistake is required.
