Don't you think it's a little risky riding with music and having a conversation? The navigation part is okay.

How is the noise cancellation compared to Scala rider? Does it really have DSP?
Have you tried rider to passenger communication?
Do both need to have the same helmet to get this working?

I haven't used Scala rider, so I really cannot give you a comparison. But, regarding noise cancellation I can say that even if at 80- 90 kmph the person on the other side of phone won't know that you are riding.
Till now I haven't got any chance to check the passenger communication.

NO, I don't think it is risky. Since, I keep the volume as low as possible. So that I can hear other vehicles exhaust and horn.
The amount of concentration required to process the Navigation and conversion is same as per me.

Re: LS2 FF310 (Bluetooth) helmet review

One of the fellow rider @witnwisdumb PMed me and asked if the Bluetooth battery is replaceable, does Bluetooth require charging, how long it takes to charge and how long does it last one it is fully charged. on receiving his PM I realized that these are few of the points that I have missed during my review.

So adding details for the above mentioned questions:
Bluetooth battery is not replaceable, in fact the whole unit is stick to the helmet shell.

Yes, Bluetooth requires charging and it usually takes around 2 hours to charge fully.

Once charged fully it last around 24 hours with music played at full volume and few calls. In case of daily use with music played at moderate volume and around 20 calls, it last around 7-8 days where daily use is around 2-4 hours.

In case battery is about to discharge completely then there is a beep which start coming after every 10-15 sec. Once it start beeping battery last for around 1 - 1.5 hours with music played at moderate volume.

Re: LS2 FF310 (Bluetooth) helmet review

Thanks for the great review, this helmet is on my list though I have my concerns regarding the wind noise. My primary reason for a new helmet (apart from safety of course) is the wind noise I have to bear on the KTM 390. I don't have a windshield(yet) as that will probably increase the noise with more wind hitting the helmet. Please kindly suggest a helmet that has low noise (upto speeds of 120 kmph, beyond that is understandable).

Sorry, I'm not much aware of many brands of helmet. You can post your query at http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...0-helmets.html

There are many people who will be happy to help you.

Hi 'prakashray412' Nice review. I also bought a LS2 day before but had a query if you can help me with it. I was also keen to buy this particular model but decided against it as I thought rain, dust might affect the BT unit functionality.
Mine was LS2 FF386 'L' size and it was barely fitting my head. I had earlier followed the measuring instructions and come to the conclusion that L size should fit. But to my horror I was wrong and apparently I don't see any XL sizes on snapdeal. The shops where you visited, did they have XL sizes at all as I have checked in a few websites but am not getting XL sizes as such. Any other fellow xbhpians can refer me a site that deals in LS2 with XL sizes, would be of great help.
Thanks, Abheek

prakashray412: You were at the Velneshwar ISG2G? So was I. Mine was the white Ninja 250R. I have the same helmet that I\'ve been using for the last 15000 kms or so, and I must say your review is spot on and has covered most of the points. Good to know about the rain test. Was wondering about that. For wind noise, I guess a set of ear plugs would do the trick.
