It seems there was a Triumph market survey event with a line up of their 21 models in Mumbai on sunday (12 June). Anyone from xbhp at this event? Any updates/photos?
They did show us all their models(posters and PPT) and were asking us for the expected prices. Although the pricing was not revealed but most of us were not enthusiastic about the brand. We also told their team that the only thing which will make us (and other bike enthusiats) buy Triumph is going to be the price advantage. A 675 Daytona should be around 6-7L. Sprint for around 10. Rocket 3/Thunderbird Storm for around 13ish.The classics (bonneville etc , max 2-2.5L )

P.S. (IMO) it was one of the worst surveys done by any manufacturer I have been to. The whole point of the survey was not clear. A complete waste of time and energy followed by good food

hope they come to india soon
tell u what the tripple is one of the best bike i have ever ridden
before i went the SF way, i seriously considered buying the speed tripple, but decided against it once when i realised they were launching a new design.

what ever category u are looking at, the triumph is just brilliant , specially the supersport.
maintanence... again , i wouldnt import a triump if there arent any dealers locally.
but once u have a dealership set up, it is not any more expensive that other bikes.
spares are decently priced as well

best of all, u get an arrow slip on free with any triump u buy.

here in Johannesburg, triumph has the best resale value amongst all other bikes, simply cuz no one wants to sell them.... good sign i guess !!

The speedie used to be the leader (perhaps the only one a few yrs ago) in its class but after the SF and now the new Tuono (also the niche Brutale), the speedie seems pedestrian. And with the new design, what the hell were they thinking!!!

i saw the new comaprison by mcn, brits are so f*ing biased !! am not a ducati proponent, but yes the speed3 is no where close to an SF, i test rode the brutale today , must be honest it was very nice, almost like a cbr600 with better seating position.
the tuono was rated better in the class..... am not a bike specialist, but u know what that bike is fugly and i dont care how good it is , if it looks that ugly, it will never find a place in my garage

                Coming Soon: Triumph Motorcycles

Looks like India has caught the fancy of all the major auto manufacturers, and we are not complaining.
The British biggy ‘Triumph is all set to launch a wide variety of its machinery in India. AutoCar India reported earlier this week that the Triumph is now closer than ever. The bikes would be Completely Build Up imports (CBU) and if the rumours around the circuit are to be believed then Triumph is all set to take on the Indian market lock, stock, and barrel.
What all could be launched? See the below link to know that, its a long list:

                Source: Coming Soon: Triumph Motorcycles

                and http://www.autocarindia.com/news/tri...es-enter-india

                --

They will surely bring Sprint/ Tiger Triple 1050cc if they enter given the fan following and the shortcuts of the CBU method, but the thing to wonder is will they go through homologation to launch Daytona 675 and Speed Triple Street?

^^ a similar artical was there on Bikeindia.in about triumph coming to india, set to give announcement next month.

but no specific information on any artical.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
