Since you live in the Bay Area, hopefully you have been out to California Highway 36:Originally posted by AsimB View PostIt never gets very hot in the summer here (san francisco bay area) so that helps.
Motorcycle Ride Highway 36 - Red Bluff to Eureka, California
Motorcycling heaven
. Of course California has way too many good roads, some of the best twisties are on the US west coast (IMO). But 36 is special
.
There are also tons of really good roads around the Bay Area - snake road in Oakland, PineHurst etc. Hopefully you are on BARF - Bay Area Riders Forum.
Ride safe, later.

She recently bought a z4 and is all excited about the twisties. Also, 36 is a 5hr drive from south bay, where I stay.
Till then I spend the weekends covering 9, 84 and 1.
Yup i follow BARF regularly.

Hmmm..it doesn't get that cold in the Bay Area, at least when I used to live there. But I like how you are playing it safe, better to be safe than sorryOriginally posted by AsimB View PostHey surprising youd ask. South Bay, cool. When I used to live in the Bay Area I was able to ride to Alice's restaurant every day for lunch
. Anyway, if you are planning to ride 36 and have the time, I recommend that you take this route:
San Jose, CA to Reno, NV
The route above is a one day ride to Reno, NV. It takes you through really pretty back country but if your girlfriend is a new rider, I wouldn't recommend it. Once you hit Reno, NV take 395 North till you pick up 36 in Susanville and head out all the way to the coast. That is another day's ride. Then you can head back down 1S (another day's ride
).
BARF was started by one of my good friends, Donovan, a long time ago.
I will most likely ride my ZX6R back to California this summer, we should definitely meet up.
Ride safe, later.

Hi, I went with a company called Z2 trackdays, they had instructors available for help. I had an instructor teach me the race lines and follow me and help with body positioning. It was fun!Originally posted by Sarge View PostNice pics Asim. Infact great for your first track day. Must have been amazing. did you go thru any school?Last edited by AsimB; 12-14-2011, 05:35 AM.

All decent brands suits are good, Dainese of course. The most important factor being fit; wear it and if you like the looks pick it up. Don't forget to get inners; revit is nice for that.Originally posted by kachhhing View PostHey guys
