just a warning for ne body considering buying a busa dunno if ppl know this or not. get,, any model before 2002.. coz during 02 all the busa's were restricted do what u may they wnt go more than 280Kmph.. earlier ones did bout 320kmph with the right conditions, u can remove the electronic restriction but i doubt its gonna be easy in India..

Bikecrazy - Actually I think its pretty easy to remove the restrictions... All you would need is a Power Commander or Dynojet.. plug it in and finito I believe you could use those gizmos on your bike too to tweak your engine's performance.

nopes.. a powercommander sits on the existing computer and complements it, modifies the injection mapping and some other variables, and it is not as simple as plugging it in.. after plugging it in u gotta put the bike on a dyno and tune all the different criteria to that particular bike..and u need ppl who know wht they r doin..which is all well and good cept for the umm scarcity of motorbike chassis dynos in India. .. p there is something else u get to remove the restrictions i forgot the name.. neways if u take out the restrictions the bike becomes illegal to ride . thats the case at least in oz.. u can only use it on the track..but i doubt if well have the same prob in India..lol...but if u can get a busa with the restrictions taken out grab it by all means.. but be 100% sure before shelling out the dough..

yea thats true but here we keep havin random checks to see if the bikes and even cars are ADR (Australian Design Rules)compliant or not ..and if u get caught. they take ur bike off the road until u get it back to normal + a fine

A TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator) maybe?

Thanks for the info Bikecrazy.. I was just quoting stuff that I read in other forums elsewhere... they were mentioning that with the PC III, its pretty easy to get the restrictions removed and also tweak the mapping. Didnt know that their 'easy' meant getting it dynoed at the same time [:P]

bikecrazy the speed limit is at 299kmh/185mph and entirely voluntray ( but spawned by rumours of a FEMALE Dutch minister speaking of banning these high power bikes ) .

India has no regulations as for limits on top speed or power ( as in some European countries that limit bikes to 100bhp ) .

and TRE's zindabad ! ( bets of luck finding them though in India , importers ke pav chhoo aur pooja kar ) !
Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on.
