Re: Bank Loans for a Super Bike

What if the 2016 ZX10R price shoots up like R1 2015 compared to previous variants ? If you are prepared for it then any day better to wait for newer variant.

I don't have to worry about that. If the price shoots up,I will get the 2015 model if its in stock then. Waiting for the time being.

        Guys,
Need some input. I went to ICICI bank today to enquire about loan for bike. I told the executive at the helpdesk that the bike I wish to own a bike costing 4.20 lakhs OTR. I need a loan of just 2 lakhs. At first, he told me that ICICI provides bike only for HD!! When I countered him a bit then he said ICICI provides loan for bikes costing 5 lakhs and upward!! I am not convinced totally. Can someone throw some light on this?

If you have a ICICI bank account, call up customer care and ask them to assist. But ICICI has become a govt bank, a big hassle to deal with them. Whereas HDFC has a dedicated superbike loan dept who will assist you gladly. After hard negotiation last I got 6.5% from HDFC. ICICI refused to negotiate.
          Regardless, Life shall go on.

My advice is to check 1st online, while buying my car (Verna) 2years back I 1st check online and got the best rate from a bank which name start with M, I cant recall the name right now. But it was giving the most competitive rate plus around 5K cash back from bankbazar.

I will advise you to check with the showroom as well, they have financer and if you go with their financer then it will be hassle free. But 1st

Thanks bro. Should I select CAR loan if I want to compare online because I can't see any option for 2 wheelers (Bank Bazaar) ?

ICICI has stopped giving loans for Bikes
HFDC provides only for HD, Triumph and Hyosung!!

May be they have a direct tie-up with dealers. Such utter crap

                  Little OT

Which bike are you planning to buy? Ninja 300 or R3?

On the loan front check how much loan you can get against your Credit Card. For example currently I'm entitle a loan of 2.6 lac through my credit card @ 11 percent ROI

If there is no bike option you can select car loan, the actual file will be filled when the guy call from bankbazar and then you can discuss and correct that. But recently I was also checking for a superbike loan just to check the rates, but I went through by looking for bike loan, not car loan. You can also go from bikedekho.com bikewale.com etc too provides from bankbazar.

Yes i recall now, it was MAGMA FINCORP from where I got the quote from. Going through online will be a hassle free and competitive rate. In my time it was zero processing fees. So apply online and when the sales guy call try to bargain with them to reduce the rate more, if possible.

No its fixed I think. I actually never asked, but fixed is the norm.

In current market scenario, a floating rate of interest option is a better one (than a fixed) as interest rate would continue to go down in coming months eventually saving money.

I have always recommended Vijaya bank for 2 wheeler loans because of foll:
1] They don't have ceiling on 2 wheeler loans as lot of banks have upper limit like 1Lac, 2Lac
2] They offer 2/4 wheeler loan at same rate of interest. Other banks quote higer interest rate for 2 wheeler loans
3] Their interest rates are relatively cheaper when compared to other banks
4] No part payment penalty and zero pre-closure charges
5] Quick disbursal and at times you can get DD in 2 days.
