            Update - 2

First of all….thank you all for the hearty wishes

Its been quite a while since I updated the thread. I was too busy concentrating on my bike and work related travelling.

I have almost crossed 500kms mark on my ODO now and the wait to finish the 1600 break in period and unleash the real beast is getting tougher day by day. For the first 500 kms this has been my story: I was very much delicate towards the new bike for first few days and 100 ams, very much hesitating to cross the 60-70km mark. I was usually cursing the bike on top gear within the speed limit. The reason, I was driving a bike after 6 long years and moreover it was a priceless prize. After few days of biking, I gained much confidence…I was speeding through corners, cutting the traffic like a rocket!!

Initially I had no gear, I was riding my bike with just a tshirt, denims and adidas normal shoes. After first 200kms, the fingers on my hands showed blisters and sore knuckles. It was quite a tough job for the muscles in my thighs and calves too. I was almost handling 210Kgs+ weight, moving it back and forth while parking.

Traffic signals have been quite an attraction at the moment. The bike has surely turned a lot of heads. Majority of the people ask me the brand of the bike. In the rear view mirror I can see the people jumping on their seats and gazing my blaze from top to bottom and talking with their fellow mates.

As far as the accessories are concerned, I have only got Frame and Spool Sliders installed on my vehicle which were ordered directly from oesaccessories.com for Rs.4000 and received within a weeks time. As recommended by my dealer, I have been fuelling my bike only with Octane 97 and keep planning to do so. So far with the last 3 tank fuels the bike has returned me a milage of 14-16 kmpl. This has purely been city drives while zooming into the spaces in traffic wherever I can.

The bike belongs to a category called Urban Sports, therefore the lean angle and dynamics of the bike have been designed to give maximum comfort. You do not have to lean your body like in bikes belonging to category of super sports (For eg. R1 or CBR1000). The sitting posture has been almost upright, very relaxed giving maximum driving pleasure.

Buying the bike has nearly exhausted my entire finances and savings. I had saved only a little which would be enough to help me in emergency. Prior to buying the bike I had very limited knowledge and had not planned financially on buying the riding gear.

In search for biking gear specially a jacket and pair of gloves lead me to showrooms in Karol Bagh and Adventure 18 in RK Puram, Adventure Wheels in Gurgaon and Meandering India in Vasant Kunj. After a little knowledge from the sales man in Adventure Wheels I discovered majority of the dealers in Karol Bagh were selling fake jackets. However, Adventure wheels only stocked Fox/Shift gear stock with choice of only 1 jacket which was highly disappointing. I only found genuine and complete stock of gear only with Meandering India which was in Vasant Kunj. The owner of the store was very helpful and gave me genuine advice regardless of the merchandise in his store.

Meanwhile, I had met some senior members of G.O.D.S at a G2G organised on the 3rd of July in Khan Market. The meeting was perfect where I made some friends. Some senior members have me deep knowledge about the riding gear and insight into the importing the performance parts. Taking the suggestions and understudying the importance of safety my quest took me to Mumbai. I was looking for a a good pair of Gloves, Shoes and Jacket. I finally ended buying a Joe Rocket Jacket from Performance Store, Mumbai which burned a deep hole in my pocket. Coming back to Delhi I was informed by the owner of Meandering India about the arrival of new shoes. The shoes (AXO Primato II) were very attractive and seemed to be best option available in my budget. Therefore I picked up the shoes in white matching my bike and my jacket along side the carbon fibre gloves of the same company.

For the helmet, I have been using LS2 which was given to me by my dealer. As claimed the helmet is DOT certified and I am pretty much happy with same. However, some people have suggested to go for a better company as travelling with heavy machines and greater speeds could result in bad crashes. I intend to buy a ARAI or AGV helmet as soon as I refuel my bank with some green paper.

I don't intend to get any mods done on the bike as of now. I want to keep it in the stock condition as long as I can.

Couple of pictures have been posted which were taken at the GODS meet in Khan Market. I will be posting some pics soon with the riding gear on.

Congrats for the bike and the riding gear.

Reg the helmet:ls2 is decent helmet but i dont know how good it is at highspeeds(say above 180) i think knee guards/riding trouser is missing....
wishing you many happy miles on it...keep the pics flowing in

AFter looking at the pictures I realised the bike actually looks gorgeous from every angle,
Both in white and black , looks stunning
While white enhances the shape of the bike and makes it look bigger , black makes it look ultra mean
I would not mind having this in my garage
Would you guys consider removing the stock number plate holder ? It's kind of bulky IMHO, might look neat with a tail tidy
drive safely... if not for you then for the sake of others!!
