its almost an year now that i have own a m796 just 2 months short now italians have done some good job and well lacked in some fields (just a personal opinion) i have clicked few thousand ks now the good part is the bike still excites me my friends ride busa intruders and blades i have never ever failed in keeping with them in straights and in corners i have had them bleed through their arses(lol). Monster has a different identity from japs there is no comparison they are so different just like polarity. there are few drawbacks that i have noticed like lack of ground clearance the pegs bed in tooo soon something that can take lots of money to fix(rear set for monster ain't cheap) and too much of counter steer to make a super fast turn (i love it ) but that fries the rear tyre fast my tyre can turn blueish at the edges needs a replacement i think because now it has strated sliding the other downside is when riding in rain the foot pegs turn too slippery even for riding boots (i use agv sport sebring) could be the boots fault also and the the chassis is really heavy on knee sliders a hundred km ride in mountains can result in new sliders every time (something that i love to spend on) the bike is returning me 12 kms in mountains and 17 kms on highway (i have a very heavy throttle hand ) the dealer told me if is ride sane it can return upto 23 kms to a liter but whats the point if u want average go buy urself a cbr250 italians are good at making u feel 18 again horse power is nothing if u don't know how to use it
