    Hey Guys,

    I would like to know has Harley started its CKD assembly in India, If so what bikes do they assemble it here.

    If 110 % is the Taxes for Imported bikes and 60 % is for the parts, If I am not wrong should the Iron 883 which costs $ 8000 in US which is around 368,960.03 in India if CKD starts here should be around 5.5 L here???

    I am just confused

      I think right now they are not giving the full advantage to the indian consumers as they are trying to recover the cost of the factory first, then i think they will lower the prices further.

        I guess the factory is in Haryana if so... are they assembling only the Sportster???

          HD currently imports sportster models ( iron & superlow) only via CKU way n their delivery time is 3 to 4 months. n rests HD bikes are coming via CBU route n easily available.
          their assembling unit is in Bawal hariyana.

            Thanks tats wat i thot... SO why is the price still very high cuz as far as i know the Import for parts are 60 % so why does a Iron costs 6.5 Any idea????

                i will ask the my dealer when i get my delivery of iron in jan12. but i dont think they will reduce their price range of any of the sportsters.

                    booked iron 883 on 1st sept. , taking delivery on 1st jan., no major mod for the first 6 months. Will fit an engine guard (black one), pillion seat( Sundowner Deepbucket) & security system to new bike

                      HD 883 Superlow is assembled in india along with the Iron prices are starting from Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

                          can the dual speedometer(with tachometer) be added to the 883 iron?

                            u can get separate tachometer. but no 2 in 1 meter .
