Also tell us whether you are looking for a fully faired or a naked bike?
If naked then Triumph Street Triple is best option. It has been praised by many auto enthu worldwide.
If fully faired then Ninja 650R is a good option.
It is worth extending your budget for street triple. It should cost you ~6.5 lacs on road.

          ^^^ this doesn't go together!!!

Had you been following xBhp, you should've learned that anything upto 750cc are not officially qualified to be called SBK's.

          Anyway, my 2 cents...
          - Since you want to buy one mid 2013, which is say, Jul 2013, you should be having Rs 10L in hand for the cheapest available SBK or Rs 5L for Ninja 650R
          - Assuming you've 0 as you bank balance & keeping 5L in mind, you need to start saving, Rs 31250 for 16 months starting Apr 2012, you can easily achieve your dream. OR...
          - Assuming the same 0 bank balance & keeping 10L in mind, you need to start saving, Rs 62500 for 16 months for the same period
          - Use the interest for the 16 months period to pay for registration/taxes etc, or include them in savings & save more per month. Use proportionately to calculate for 7L

My question back to you is...can you afford to save this every month?

EDIT - BTW, here's something for you to go through - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/superbik...cut-dream.html

By mid 2013 you will have more options. Just keep saving till then and decide on which bike when you are ready.
