  • First impressions on a BMW F800GS' ride!

i got an chance to visit malaysia and my thirst of biking started there when seeing lots of sports bike went vroom!! around me .. and its was an suprize to me by my dad's friend, who gave me an golden chance of riding the BMW F800GS

SO,its the bike and me ,a wonder full moment of my life..

    First thought and walk around:
when I saw the bike first time I was well impressed with the logo of BMW on it and as I went for a walk around. I felt the bike was quite height in seating levels and one side balancing is much needed in a stop and as I saw the cockpit of the bike I could see many features and modes . The rear section of the bike is built up with an perfect idea for touring and especially off-roading. The exhaust was placed under the seat and the rear L.E.D. lamps and indicators where quite impressive. When coming to the front section the BMW F800gs has an inverted forks with spokes alloy and two multiple disc brakes ,
so, that’s all about my first thought and walkaround.

    Ride and handling:
Some riding tips were instructed to me before my ride and as I went on a ride. I felt the bike was middle weighted (not much heavy) if compare to other tour bikes. It was said by the owner that the bike produces 85HP at 7500rpm .but, since it was my first ride I didn’t give any hard revs. The bike is very comfortable for riding and when it comes to handling, the bike is light weight and you can simply toss the bike around. I could say it’s a perfect match for off-roading. But, be carefull with the foot pegs its slips sometimes and when you come to a stop be prepared to eject yourself from the bike quickly by balancing one side with legs or just take out the side stand and jump off after the stop.

and its the first time am riding a tour bike it was totally a new experience and it really have a good height .. safe ejection from the bike at stop is very important
    here's the pic ..
its me on the bike and the owner of it standing aside

    Brakes:
If you notice the steering consoles you could see an ABS switch where you could ON or OFF it. I experienced some sharp brakes and I could say it has an excellent braking system . The ABS brakes are power full where it gives a good stopping power .my rating for brakes is 4.5 out of 5.
At last after all my ride and conversation with the owner. I asked him about the millage of the bike in which he laughed for a minute . Indian rocks.
    Thank you.

This bike have many records and you could check it out.

At last i had an ride for 20mins and i could say its like wow!!

    Thank you guys ...
    with best regards,
    KA-CHOW!

Nice to hear your simple & exciting ride experience with the F800. I am sure it would have been a very special feeling on a BMW for the first time.
Thanks for sharing & ride safe.

Don't worry about your English. You've written what you experienced and it's pretty nice to see that.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END
