Guys, I had a female friend in College (just friends!). After college, she was married to someone in Indiana, USA. At that place, biking is a culture in itself, somewhat more widely acknowledged than India.

Hence, I decided to take some Self snapped Pics of some Ducati's from her, like 848, 1098, 1198 & the Desmosedici...

    Ducati 848: Red

Ducati 848 is a 135 bhp bike with lots of useable power, and nice torque curve. Just as one should expect from a V-Twin. It comes in 2 color combinations - Black & Red. On request, my friend sent me some pics of a Red Ducati 848. Have a look:-->

See the last pic, snapped by someone else, & see the Termignoni Exhaust. Pure Revving Music in Stereo Quality from V Twin Cylinders.

Forgive the quality, as it was taken by someone not so learned in Photography... Please let this thread as a gallery of Ducati's. A big reason being that It's released in India too now.

Comments invited ... More Ducatis will come over later...

@ Sunny bhai: Thanks. Right, The pearl white is so peaceful, lovely, mysterious and so beautiful! Now, that it is mentioned:-->

        --
@ pulsater: Ok, I'll ask her. If any one owns a 1198 in her group, she will send it to me. Actually, It's a bit expensive bike, even for USA people.
        --

My Take on 848: In this bike, I like the swingarm, key slot, almost everything is so cool! It's a mysterious bike and various tests around the world proved it better than Competition Japanese Bikes (600 RR), on Road or Racetrack. It's a very practical bike, if one can do with the price.

Strangely, there are RAM Air Vents on the back seat. Damn, Who could have imagined this?

I think you are making a small error here!

the rear ram air vents have a simple logical explanation to them ..
first to contribute to the overall streamlining of the bike ..
and second to cool the exhaust outlet .. so that the pillion doesnt get cooked ..
am a wing rider .. and dat is all der is to it ....

@Samarth: A simple private message/ User message would have sufficed instead of "reporting" a post!

Anyways, I have changed the topic name accordingly.

                              Ducati Desmosedici RR:

Ducati's MotoGP Missile GP6, dropped on streets with all "street essentials" covered. It's a 990cc 4 stroke V4 Engine, with some

Due to a similar powerplant as GP6, GP6's 990cc's Bore & Stroke dimensions (86mm x 42.6mm) are also the same in this bike.

Don't know exactly, but I think it has the best Power/ Weight Ratio among production bikes. I say, it's just a racing bike with Headlights, Indicators, RVMs & a comparatively silent exhaust. (that's my opinion only) At 60,000+ Euros, it's not economical or VFM, but a Ducati never is meant to be VFM. It's beyond that!

Some pics from my friend abroad, showing an 848, 1098S & the Desmosedici RR:-->

The numbers & faces are hidden for security. I wonder what harm can anyone do anyways?
