The First Ride


The Happiness did not stay for a long time but


Think the GODs are angry on me and not sure for what reason.
Met with the first accident just 35 kms from my home near HOSKOTE.


I was heart-broken as I was unable to take even One Good Picture.
Last Year December Met with an accident but Somehow GOD made sure that I was not hurt except for few scars.
Just within 600KMS of Riding met with an accident


Lucky I was completely unhurt and just a cpl of bruises on the waist and knee. The bike was dragged for about 200 mts.
Never had used the First Aid Kit earlier and for the first time I Had to use on this day.


This being early morning I was unable to track the truck number as the truck was in a very high uncontrollable speed.
The Blind Spot accident as far as I know !!!



Helmet - Scratchless
Shoes - Just a small scratch in one corner of right leg.
Jacket, Bag, Belt - Scraped and Crapped !!!


The hole to pocket is 2.2 Lks for the repair and 5 months of time for the parts to arrive. Feeling depressed !!!
The ICICI for Harley says there do not do cashless and only reimbursement.


Again the Harley response team is slow and lethargic to the queries and customers

After accident myself and the bike stayed back in rest for a while.
Arguments at home for keeping or selling the bike and those torture days.
But finally I decided to keep the keep and anyhow getting it repaired on Insurance did some upgrades

I have upgraded the Handle Bar to NIGHTSTER which is wider and more comfortable on long rides.
But the major upgrade was the Exhaust to Vance and Hines Twin Slash Slipons and they are really awsum.
Initially for about 30 kms my stomach was hurting for the amount of noise it makes and the deep throttle noise is just awsum.

The new Roar proves that the bike has been moved to Adulthood

Longest till date was from Bangalore - Anantapur - Internal Ride a bit - Bangalore again. Left in the morning came back by night and luckily I have some extra padding on my arse which acted like cushion. Else the seat is very bad for a real long rides. Did 500+ in one day which made me felt good. But had to take a good amount of rest.

Frankly speaking 500 Kms on a Royal Enfield which I had done earlier in a day was more comfortable.

IRON 883 is a Sporster and not a complete cruiser. It has stiffer and harder suspension and also not a very relaxed seating position.




The bike completed 2000 KM Only


Done with the 1st Serving : The bill came up-to 7000 Rs.
Oil changed to fully synthetic now.


So what's new is just added a

Pillion Seat,
Sissy Bar
Pillion Foot pegs
Sissy Bar Cushion for back

And the bill was whooping 42000RS only. Had tears rather blood rolling thru my eyes .
