    where to buy from?

    hey ppl....sometime back had posted a thread asking where to get a sbk serviced in kolkata if i buy one but what i dint realise is that there is a bigger problem because of which i havent got my bike as yet....you'll will laugh....WHERE TO BUY IT FROM?....talks with dreambikes and krp failed for whatever reasons...i aint gonna list them...they are good ppl and have helped numerous ppl get a bike but im the unlucky one i guess...anyways...there was this guy in kolkata who was working the deal for me with somebody in mumbai and it quite suited me...but again my bad luck....this guy in kolkata has suddenly vanished.....refuses to take my calls or anything....was infact calling him to tell him that ill be over with the advance to seal the deal...this was 2 weeks back...now im getting impatient....so would really appreciate it if someone could help me out....i want genuine contacts who wont dupe me or anything like that...thanks

    P.S - want a cbr600rr

      There are many people you can get it from. I dont understand how could Dreambikes refuse you? What did you tell them? There are a couple of shady characters as well you should be careful of. Do not give advance to anyone unless you see the bike in front of you PERIOD.
      Locking the front and flipping is the worst experience you could err experience.

          not a second hand, a brand new 08 or 09.

            whom did you talk to in calcutta??have you tried reaching the honda showroon to see if they can hook you up with anyone???and if you personally know any SBK mechanic,then he will surely be able to help you out....or else you have to get through Bangalore or Delhi...

              honda showroom wont help me,600cc is not even legally allowed to be imported by these companies.
              and abt getting through bangalore or delhi....thats exactly why ive started this thread....i need contacts of dealers in these cities....even mumbai.

                Honda wont help. That can only happen in my good old hometown only. Honda is coming in with 600RR very soon. Its been announced. Try to find out. Otherwise if you are really interested. PM me.

                Sorry i think i need to do my own homework first. Its the litres for now & by end of this year the rest might happen.

                  have you tried contacting any SBK mechanics in calcutta??i knew about one guy called Javed who was into all this but dont know about the current situation..its better that you look in other cities...i am sure insaneroller will be able to help you

                    Bombay has a lot of people, just be very careful of smooth talkers. I've had my share of bad experences. Imran Chouhan who has listed bikes for sale on the forum is a honest chap try getting in touch with him or PM me ill send you the numbers of Dealer/Mechs I know here.
                    Locking the front and flipping is the worst experience you could err experience.

                        I am glad that you already are familiar with the import regs and are not hoping for a clean papers brand new 600, you seem to have extracted some experience from your deals that have gone sour too, which is a good thing.
                        Do not get dillusioned by the deals that fell out, I am sure you must've learned a thing or two about paperwork if nothing else.

                        My sincere advice, you know you'd be buying a baggage papers bike. Buy from someone who can provide you with some decent registration papers to avoid any local cops trouble if you were to be stopped for some usual reasons.

                              YES..... Friends bike already picked up by Customs 1st thing this morning. I also believe many dealers being questioned on importation and duty amounts paid. Friends bike had duty paid but it seems was not enough therefore impounded.
