Re: The Speed Burble!!
Hi Odeen,Originally posted by Odeen12 View PostShe's done 6800kms till date.
The flyscreen gets mounted on the existing stock one by screws. I will click some pictures today.
One important question - what top speed you achieved so far?
I am sure you must have checked the SPEED part of this triple some day....Do let me know...
As you know I am riding Street Triple and so far have touched 180 few times...When possible, I will try to travel on Pune-Bengaluru road beyond Kolhapur into Karnataka state - there are some really good stretches of road in that region that will allow exceeding 200 kmph and I will surely try in future...

Ummm, I enjoy the twisty bits more on the Speed than straight line dashes. Good thing about the Inline 3 is that all power is linear and usable. As you already know. Everything is usable from the get go. Not like a 4 cylinder where you have to wait.
It's extremely fulfilling to mount those revs in lower gears. Plus the super 50/50 weight distribution makes it so much fun to lean her in and come out of a corner faster.
However last when we went riding, found an open stretch of road and I did whack her open, did 198 comfortably. Didn't want to push her too much as the tires were wearing out. Those Metzeler Race techs are super sticky but wear out soon due to the conditions of our roads. Now she has new shoes.. Let's see next time when I push her, what does she do.
Cheers

Re: The Speed Burble!!
Great - if without pushing too hard it is already hitting 198, that's quite something...Of course, taking one's bike to winding roads is quite fulfilling but then once in a while super high speed straight line dashes on some really well surfaced roads is also a good enjoyment..Originally posted by Odeen12 View PostHey Jeevan,

A beautiful story. Congratulations on the Triumph. And a massive salute to you grandmum[emoji122][emoji122]Every Motorcycle has a tale to be told and there is no greater privilage in the life of a rider than to have truly understood what his Motorcycle stands to tell. Hello Odeen,Originally posted by Odeen12 View PostHey thank you. The accesories list is never ending.
They wind blast was as bad as any naked. Checked Puig etc and wasn't stomped by anything. Till I saw what Triumph themselves were to offer. Called up the dealer and got this installed. One picture with the bike and another as to how it looks. It sits over the existing stock flyscreen.

Haven't gone a ride yet after installation. But planning to next week. So should be a good test of how that holds up. Again added a bunch of stuff. Will update the thread once after the ride!! For your accesories you can talk to this guy at Bikegear.in I search for stuff and ask him to help me procure. He's transparent and fast with his work.
Cheers mate.
Nice to see that you are on full swing with add-ons. Did you fix flyscreen (DYI)? I could not see any screws to the existing flyscreen.
Happy riding.
Cheers

Re: The Speed Burble!!
Hi Odeen - thank you for an informative write up on the Speed! It was insightful and inspirational - so much so that I went and got a Speed for myself, from Triumph Pune!
My overall experience with the dealership was absolutely positive - right from my first visit to taking delivery of the beast! Attaching some photos below

Hey d0c, hope all good with you. The Bazzaz is a mixed bag of reactions.Originally posted by d0c View Posthey odeen
hows the bazzaz unit ?
have you got it tuned ?
would like to know the results
In theory it's supposed to help. And would have for sure. But the problem is, the lack of skill set to get the bike tuned correctly. I honestly was struggling to get the right AFR's. Hence have removed the unit. Wish we had a dyno here in Mumbai.
Though, something to note is when I did have it installed, the bike had a bassier note. The fuel economy improved. But due to ineffective AFR's was not seeing power improvements. Plus the fuelling went for a toss in the lower rpm's. Hence removed the unit.
Had a word with Zubin (Zubin design) and he's going to help me with this now. I also spoke to this guy who has a Daytona. He's got a YouTube channel called 'triple rider'. He has Bazzaz installed on his bike and she runs brilliantly. So he's going to help me too.
Now waiting for the rains to pass, so as to have it installed again and give it a go.
Cheers mate.

Super super. She's lovely. Especially the black and red thing going on.
Wow! She's so much fun. Like I have said, she's fat but she can move. The wonderful 50/50 weight distribution.
Have a lot of fun with her. You'll be smiling ear to ear on the road to Lavasa!! Safe riding buddy!
Do update us on more! Hell tell us a story man.

Thanks! I will get the Arrows fitted at her first servicing - Triumph Pune did not have them in stock when I got her. I have got the usual accessories like the tank pad, fork protectors and now wait for the arrows 3x2. Triumph Pune have also said they will be happy to fit any aftermarket stuff that I get to the service center.

Thanks Mr O! I got the custom color combination on a red stock bike as I wanted a a little more black on her - Triumph Pune did a super job with the matte finish! I have already taken her to Lonavala via the old Pune-Mumbai highway (alongside a Ninja 1000) and hit 130 before my rev limit (5k RPM) kicked in. Super sweet ride - Lavasa, Mahabaleshwar etc all planned now that the rains have subsided!
PS - I will tell my story

i agree to what u said, we dont have skilled person to tune the map according to the aftermarket performance mods
there are few running the bazzaz on street triple and even on daytona and have no complaints , but no one got it dyno -tune'd and these maps are from the bazzaz website itself uploaded by various owners across the globe.
i had CW exhaust on the street triple with arrow map, and i lost power in the low RPM's , which i realised later .
wish u all the luck in getting the tune set right after the rains
cheers
