After riding 2014 Honda CBR650F almost a year around 10k miles, I felt trying super sports now.
Why I got interest in super sports? : I use this CBR650f for daily commute to office (around 22 miles one way). I used to see Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600RR, Suzuki GSX-R600. But I knew their heights are too much for me and they are not for daily commute. One day I saw a girl of my height riding the CBR600RR, then I decided to sit on the bike to see I can manage or not. I was able to just reach both side with my 5'4" height. After that I decided to buy a used Honda CBR600RR. While looking back in super sports race history, I came to know CBR600R has won most of the races after 2000. I saw lots of CBR600RR video, came it know it's riding position is less aggressive then Suzuki GSX-R600 and Yamaha R6. GSX-600 has least seat height in all three, but somehow I was more inclined through Honda. May be I am a Honda guy, or Honda/Yamaha needs less maintenance than Suzuki, they are more reliable.
I started looking Black & Red CBR600RR. After looking for 1 month on Craiglist, ebay, cycle trade, I saw Black 2009 Honda CBR600RR with just 13000 miles on it in $6000. I saw the bike, It has hell lots of modifications, Handle bar was changed, no rear signal light, rear fender removed, licensed plate was under seat.
After seeing bike in-person I can see it had broken frames also. It was used by a college guy just for stunt and night rides. Now he has reduced price to $5500.
Than I saw Blue 2007 CBR600RR with just 3400 miles on it with no modification, completely stock condition in $6500. I was the bike in-person, it was shining like a new bike. My hearts started telling me to buy the bike, I asked the owner in $5500, finally deal settled for $6000. Paid $570 tax and registration charges extra. Total $6570 for hardly used super sports. If I buy a new one from dealer it will be $14k + plus higher insurance rate for new bike.
After buying it first day experience was horrible, previous owner hardly rode it recently, when I took the bike, it has hardly any air pressure in the tire. Front was having around 2-psi and rear around 10-psi. Very hard to steer, was not able to take any turn without effort. Somehow rode 2 miles to reach the office and parked in the office garage. After office, now my target was to find a gas station to fill the air, had to ride 3 miles again then finally put some air in it. Then rode to home for 20 miles, in the evening checked tire pressure, front was showing 5-psi and read 20-psi. I was not able to fill completely on gas pump as there was no pressure gauge there.
Then next day with correct air pressure, I can see this bike corners effortless, lighter than my CBR650F but I need to bend more to ride it. Rode it to office 8 days continuously to office while CBR650F taking rest in parking. I started feeling some back pain also.
I was thinking to sell CBR650F, but CBR600RR has super sports riding position, not good for daily commute, I dropped the selling idea. Now I am riding both the bikes alternative day. May be in future I will use 60% CBR650F and 40% CBR600RR. After riding CBR600RR, I feel complete upright position on CBR650F. But CBR650F needs more accelerator and effort on corners. CBR650F feels lot more comfortable than CBR600RR, but slow.
Suddenly now CBR650F feels alien to me, before I felt like I had to lean on CBR650F, but now feels 100% straight upright position to me. Steering feels new to my body now. Foot peg position feels like Hero Splendour foot pegs. It's riding position reminds me Splendour now. May be this is the effect of CBR600RR.
Here are the images of my both bikes:

, although it belongs to my wife.
