      Topic Approved and merged.

20,000 rpm at idle, 50,000 rpm at the top, empties up entire tank in just 15-20 minutes, a helicopter engine that can't be serviced and repaired at most garages, an exhaust fume that burns up people's cars' bumpers, and a cost of Rs. 15 crores (after tax), and you think someone in Bangaluru, or even India must be owner of one of these...?

Samarth bhai, leave India, this bike is impractical anywhere on earth.
If you wish to have a helicopter, then why not buy a helicopter rather than buying a hybrid which is neither safe (read bumpers burning, crazy acceleration, crazy top speed - think about others on the road), nor beautiful.

Moreover, it won't ever be able to clear the noise level restrictions in India IMO...

There is one huge issue with owning this bike in India. As we all know, bumper to number in India, literally means bumper to bumper. I.e. gaps between two cars at traffic signals and jams rarely exceed 12 inches, and can be as little as 2-4 inches if you have a persistent rickshaw/taxi around. The exhaust gasses from the motor would be so hot, they would literally melt the bumpers of cars behind. And if any biker/pedestrian were to be foolish enough to stray into its path... I don't think I need to elaborate. For more on this check out the YouTube video of jay Leno and his y2k.

@ Divya Sharan & Psychohans: Exactly my point. Its not practical... Its quite dangerous too, specially in Indian conditions.

Even in the below video, the guys were saying that stay away from the rear tyre and the exhaust. Skip straight to 1:05 and check its starting up and exhaust voice. Feels like you're watching the movie "Torque".

Or this, to feel the starting of this machine, and its settling at an idle of 20 krpm:

Question - The Y2K that's going up for display at the India Bike Week, has it been purchased by someone or is it purely there for show purposes? I strongly believe in the latter but a lot of people have been saying that some bigshot in Bombay has purchased it hence confirming.

I suppose it's just for his personal collection? I would not like to wake up and read, "Crazy racebike vaporizes onlookers' feet" on the front page of the newspaper in the near future.
