So got the first service done on monday. Cost around 4k for oil change, oil filter change, labor etc charges.
I hope i didnt miss anything from my side!
Also checked with the ktm workshop fella about paint protection and he said they do some plastic coating (i dont know what it is) ... costs around 800-900.
Any of you guys done it? or 3M? is it really helpful in protecting against scratches and stuff.
any contact info for such a place in pune would be greatly appreciated.
Also, i am looking for tank pads but cant makeup my mind by looking at the options on online stores.
Are there any shops where i can actually see them and then get it installed there itself?
I would really suggest for the 3m paint protection film to be applied on the tank and fiber panels of the bike. It might be a bit costly but i think its worth the cost. For me i regret not doing it on my bike , even though the parts are not that costly as the kawasaki to replace, down the line of 3-4 years if you still own the bike the paint would remain in immaculate condition. I think that is something any one would appreciate.

hi Rohan, i have had the ninja for about 3 months now.
i am using it as a daily commuter as well as for weekend rides. It heats up in stop go city traffic which is expected.
The only thing that i actually disliked is the headlights. They are seriously lacking especially when there is oncoming traffic. But you can upgrade the bulbs to get better illumination.
Lack of ABS could be an issue, especially for people new to riding and as you said you are "new to biking , in fact not even a rookey".
In such a case, ABS becomes an important safety feature.
Now, if you are really a first time rider, i would not recommend a 600cc category bike. Actually, not even a 250-300cc bike.
Start small, if you really get serious, go ahead and upgrade. But don't jump straight to a 600cc bike.
Eventually this is a decision that involves as much heart as mind.
So if you are sure and won't budge from your decision, just wait till Jan-Feb and get the 2017 model.
Do let us know on whatever you decide :-)

100% agree on this one. Get a cheap second hand 150CC bike from Bajaj (Pulsar). They are dirt cheap on second hand market so you will get a lot of options to choose from. And are easy to repair, with very cheap spare parts.
Learn the basics from it. You are sure to drop it a couple of times, and sure to mismatch the clutch and gear. Use it as a use and throw bike and then move on to the brand new one. Trust me it hurts a lot when a shiny new bike drops and gets scratched by your fault, you wont feel too bad if you drop and scratch an old bike that you plan to keep for a short time.
A powerful bike will take you to triple digit speeds before you know it, even a small mistake (brakes applied a bit too hard, sand, gravel, a sharp turn, animals on road, people who behave like animals on road) will make your tire lock or over spin, it will then skid and lose balance, and it will be very dangerous, even ABS will not be able to help in certain conditions. A small capacity bike will be in your control till you acquire the skills to handle some speed and know your and the bike's limits.
