hey Vivek , you calling the GSX-R1000 junk ? Sheesh ...I love it . Just see its curves for torque - widest , makes so much power from longest stroke with least compression ratio at 12.0 ( except the CBR100RR at 11.9 ), smallest throttle bodies , and supposedly obsolete technology . And still makes the other rivals nervous . And this is the bike that not only took the crown from R1 but also made Kawasaki and Honda realise that they gotta bring out the beasts they should .

Shame on ya pal ....pretty sure this bike kicks ass . Knowing the amount of politics there is , mags just say this bike is way better than that bike . But with merely 5bhp here and there , its so close you're splitting hairs between these monsters .

Peace , not like I'm pickin on ya !

      2005 Gixxer1000 pic - it's ugly but said to make 155rwhp , more than any of the 2004 1000cc-classers
ummm.... the '04 ZX10R makes 162rwHp. And is 33 pounds lighter than the current gixxer1000. So until they make some dramatic weight changes to the '05 Model, I think It will still be a bit on the heavier side... But then there are a lot of other things to consider..

What the hell, it's all good.
      Just my 2 cents worth.

Sorry abt that bro. It just doesn't look right to me.. To each his own. Okay, I take my words back... Was just a bit peeved coz' Alig didn't have any Ducatis, APrilias or even the Busa in his list.

Vivek , I was referring to MCN ( UK where dif standard is used wchi rads lower ) . The R1 in MCN tests makes 147bhp , ZX10R makes 149bhp , Gixxer1000 makes 146bhp . US numbers read higher .

          33lbs ? the claimed dry weight for GSX-R1000 is 168kg and ZX10R is 170kg . While wet weight may differ , it sure can't be 33lbs . 33lbs between the heaviest ( CBR1000RR and ZX10R/GSX-R100 ) , yes , between the Suzuki and Kawasaki , no .

Okay. My Bad. Well in that case the '05 Gixxer would be a good bike..
            Thx. Bro..

Thx for the correction... It's 33Lbs lighter than CBR1000RR not the gixxer. Typo..

Not much. Michigan sucks at that.. (we have abt 2 mths of Biking season in a year)
Sold my F4i last year after I realised how little I used it. I do ride my friend's R6 often.

Saving money for the Aprilia RSV Mille... Maybe next year. I can get one a year old for about 10K

hmm the 2004 RSV too costly ? I like it more than the older one though , nice angular , more radical w/o being ugly ( quite opposite ).

You bet.. It should get an award for the best looking bike. Prices are a bit steep. The regular RSV Mille is about 13K USD New, the Mille R is about 17-18K (depending on dealer). But then if you buy the Mille R, it comes with Ohlins, Brembo Brakes etc... so it's actually worth it. Plus the exclusivity factor.. Costs just a bit more than an R1 or a Busa (the regular one, not the Mille R), but you get a really distinctive ride. Don't get to see it that often on the streets.

Couldn't resist posting a pic, so here it is, the Mille R.
