Sorry guys, but have been busy in the last few months. One f'ed up day a drunk idiot hit my parked car in the early morning hours and it took close to 2 months to get it fixed.

With my wife moving back with me, it has been a busy setting up the apartment as well.

A 1199 Panigale S, one from the initial batches. Owned by a Army man. The guy had done some serious miles on this. The ODO read around 35k miles, was the first in Florida to get a 15k service done and the guy had done a round trip from Florida -> Virginia -> Texas -> Florida over the course of a month on this thing.

Some Serious Horse Power from a recent trip...

Hi Guys,

After almost 3.5 years & 5.5K miles of ownership, the affair with Yamaha R6 came to an end. No issue with the bike at all; I have never ridden a more smooth and refined engine. The rush after 8-10K RPM was something else which only a mad I4 can provide. The main reason behind the decision was comfort. I wasn't able to go long distance due to the committed riding position. Although I am not a long distance traveler and do not plan to attempt the saddle sore, I would definitely like to stand or sit once I was back home from a ride. The R6 made that very difficult and once u are home after a long ride all you could do was lie down for a few hours. I even added a Saddleman comfort seat which fixed the issue to only certain extend. The idea to get a handlebar conversion also came to my mind but I didn't want to mess up the classic R6 looks. Another idea I had was to keep the R6 and get something comfortable which I went over for few days and discarded due to associated costs and lack of parking space. Plus, that plan would have reduced the use of R6 drastically, I was already taking it out once or twice a month so having 2 bikes did not make sense.

I had contemplated selling off the bike last year as well and showed it to many people but at the last moment I decided against it and kept the bike (sentiments I guess). Sadly this time things happened quickly as the bike sold within 6 hrs. and I did not get a chance to process what I was doing else I would have decided against selling it this time as well after few days. With a heavy heart I let go my R6 on 12/6/2021.


This will always be a special bike and if fate has it will definitely get one again in future for leisure rides. In the meantime something else came into my life on 19/6/2021. Maybe a separate thread in the next few days...
