, It's just started). The love for riding a motorcycle has all started sometime around couple of decades ago where I graduated from riding a bicycle to mopeds/scooters in the form of TVS XL, Scooty, LML Vespa and my Dad’s Chetak and later a Hero Glamour bike. Then comes a time when I chose to join residential schools/colleges for better education and all those 8 years, only time i get chance to ride bike is when I go home during my holidays which comes twice in a year. Fast forward 8 yrs, I got my first job and I have decided it was the time to buy a bike and compensate the lost time of my life by not riding a bike.I analysed my riding skills and researched on the existed market and upcoming bikes during then and finally decided to buy a bike which has ABS. The choice was between TVS Apache and Honda CBR 250 and I chose the TVS Apache 180 ABS in white color as my first bike. I had it for around 5 yrs and ridden over 55000 Kms. Touring on the bikes has kicked in for me with this bike, Bangalore - Goa - Bangalore being the best one.. Then I was trying to upgrade to twin cylinder and booked a benelli 300 (as I was more inclined to naked bikes) & later cancelled it because I was fortunate enough to have my friends classic 500 who left to abroad,, after living with it for an yr and over 15000 Kms across Karnataka & Kerala,, it was a Love and Hate relationship with RE. I have once again started planning to buy a big bike n was eyeing on a Kawasaki Z650 as I could not extend my budget till the Triumph Street Triple and other naked bikes in its league.. But I dropped the plan as I did not like the color.. Yes, believe me,, I did not buy Z650 as they do not have option to choose a different colour (Maintenance of Kawasaki & not so positive reviews on Service Centre helped my decision).. With nothing much to do, I went n bought value for money Dominar and I was not even happy after buying a new bike as I missed another chance of almost owning a big capacity bike.. As the time & KMS on my Dominar ODO passed I was in love with my Dominar and have ridden it close to 35000 Kms in 1 yr 8 months.. I recently completed BANGALORE - RAJASTHAN - BANGALORE Solo Ride apart from many other memorable rides in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Kerala. Although I did not like suspension and a few small things,, I was happy with my purchase of Dominar.. But that does not stop my mind to think about owning a super bike oneday and this time I have decided to go for it, no matter what !!
Of all the bikes I have test rode (Kawasaki Z900, Suzuki Gsx S750, Triumph Street Triple etc.), I have chosen the one which made me smile every time I hop on it.. Yes, I FOLLOWED my HEART over MIND this time and booked a TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE S Red. I honestly do not like the looks of Street Triple, but that was easily overshadowed once I started riding this fun bike..
Here are the few points I have considered while deciding on a super bike, Street Triple did not score in few areas, but I still went with it..
- Regular Maintenance Cost - which includes service intervals and service costs. Most used Spare parts, their availability and price
- Touring Capabilities - Full Tank Range, comfort while riding long distances (Seating comfort for both rider & pillion),, easy to find accessories to mount luggage, Suspension for bad roads,, strong rims
- Better stock bike - Should not spend extra money on exhaust etc
- Weight of the bike & Turning Radius - Should not struggle while getting bike from tight parking spaces and riding solo with luggage should be easily manageable.. Turning Radius should be less as it helps when riding in narrow mountain roads with steep inclinations while taking U turn
- Handling & Braking - Good Suspension & excellent braking.
I have booked the bike and waiting for delivery. It will definitely be a dream come true moment for me and I can't wait for it. Will post more pictures of delivery and keep you posted on tours. Meanwhile you can have a look at some of the pictures from my past tours.. I am not gonna spam, if you are interested you can check more pictures in https://www.instagram.com/travel_buddy_yash/
Need suggestions on necessary and good to have accessories for Triumph Street Triple S 765 in case if i have missed any. Things which i am considering are Radiator guard, Crash Bobbins/frame sliders, Fork Protection, Paint protection, etc. I am looking for expertise opinion on which third party accessories brands to look upto as i see R&G, EP brands more in internet for India.

I will do "Whatever It Takes" (Avenger Endgame feels..) to maintain the bike well
