Btw, is this the full exhaust system with headers and Y-pipe or only the canisters?
      Simple slip on canisters.

Totally agree. I use ear plugs on long rides coz it gets quite painful with the wind turbulence!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

It comes with an optional DB Restrictor sold separately. Costs $20 per piece. 1 for each exhaust will do the trick. I've it and it pipes down the sound without affecting the increase in performance. Installing it will take 1/10th the time it takes to fix the exhaust so i strongly recommend it. I can see from your pics that you dont have it yet. And it looks gr8! Comes in golden, the exact same color of the nuts on the exhaust tail.
Here is how it looks. This is the video of my bike post the installation.

And i did a 1000km ride in 2days to tarkarli from pune on my comet so was pretty much doing the redline most of the time. i can vouch that the sound is tolerable with the restrictor on. But then thats on a comet. not sure we wud do such runs on the R1.

Sorry if I'm being picky, but there wasn't exactly much in the pictures that I could make out. If you can post some better pics, with some text, I can move it to the SBK workshop thread, where it will be of good use to someone else as well.

As for the exhausts, Two Brothers is pretty good, but I've gone a slightly different route. My setup is a gutted Y-pipe (without the cat con), and am putting in an A&R race baffle kit as well. These two cost me INR 7000, and will be putting out an increase in power/torque close to what a typical slip-on does. Not to mention the beautiful sound as well.

See here: YouTube - 2007 Yamaha R1 Racing Baffles Installed www.AandRmotorsport.com

PS: I'm not trying to knock your effort/purchase. All I'm saying is, there's a much cheaper option when it comes to working on your exhausts for a power/torque/sound bump.

aftermarket exhausts also save a fair bit of weight. a kilo less on a litre bike is nearly an extra hp

well the one that u r telling me will void the warranty. the one that i have put in can be taken out in one hour and fixed with the original ones and the warranty remains untouched. so....

The one I am talking about will not void the warranty as well. In fact, you even retain the stock cans. So it's all good. Will post pics soon. Maybe that'd give you a better idea.
