Thanks guys. It was real fun riding the Rod. It is worth keeping the machine in the garage.

As for the interview here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/hard-tor...son-india.html it was awesome experience talking to Mr. Anoop Prakash, MD Harley-Davidson India. He is clear about what he and HD want to do. Great to see their enthusiasm. It was truly a Harley-Davidson experience!

A special thanks and mention to Aryan here who accompanied me for the meeting with the MD. He shot the photos and took notes as I talked to Mr. Anoop Prakash.

An impressive work! Kudos to the whole team.

Ken, great job. you look stunning too in the interview pics.

Personally, I tried both bikes (NightRod and the Intruder) and until I check out the other HD bikes, my preference is still the intruder! I found the Intruder much more comfortable and smooth in comparison to the NightRod. After riding the NightRod for a considerable time, when I switched back to the Intruder, I found that I was in another zone and that is too much to say without being able to put the exact differences in words. The only thing in the HD that scored over the Intruder was the gear box of the NightRod.

Maybe I am not making the comparison with the right counterpart in the HD stable, but this is my initial reaction.

Please dont take this as a biased opinion just because I own the Intruder, I could aswell buy the HD if I liked it!

You are correct about the gear box bit. There are some other aspects that I liked on the Rod and some other on the Boulevard. But since this is not a comparo, I will stay out of it.

You are making the comparison with the right counterpart in the HD stable. And you have the right to your opinion and feelings.

Thank you all for the appreciation. The delay in putting up this review was inadvertent initially but subsequently as we got wind of things brewing up, it was decided to put this up at the relevant time.

Yes, the bike rode and felt excellent. And this was probably the first belt driven big twin that I rode. Just loved the smoothness between shifts and when going off and on throttle. No drive-line lash at all, which is probably also one contributing factor to the perceived gearbox smoothness. And for once, after doing it only on scooters before, I had to dismount, pull-up the seat to re-fuel a motorcycle.
I don't let my motorcycles interfere with my motorcycling...
