some one plz tell me why the sales of these beauties were stopped
Coz of the mileage conscious Indian citizens, there were very few takers. Plus BMW priced the F650 way too high.

          first,the bikes were highly priced
second, the mileage conscious people keep on asking the owner abt the mileage and then make fun of him for buying a 650 cc bike for 5 lakh plus and running on 20 kmpl.
eventually people started selling their bikes, its price came down on the second hand market also and obviously there were no customers for new ones.
As BMW saw the sales figures coming down, they decided to pull back.
          the rest is history.
But the bike is a good one and has exceptional build quality.Indeed it will last for a life time, eventhough the spares are costly.

RD350 can smoke any bike nad that 1 thing is proved again n again..no doubts.
But this bik had a nostalgia of owning a german excellence which is proved when u use the way is is made to do.
Like A german shephard dog can bite the ribs off the attacked and also save lives in case of accident, its alll in tranning of the dog by the master.

F650 had it been a profitable venture back then.... most of us be riding F800 n above. and I not dreaming of owning 1200ST but riding it.

The few things German about the F650 is probably the badge. The chassis was built by Aprilia, and engine was from Rotax of Austria.

But all said, amazing bike to chuck around and put through some nonsense. Has a huge road presence.. I like to call it the Safari of two wheelers.

well the bike is awesome but the parts come in pounds...a bit too expensive...prefer the v-storm 650.

We have atleast a couple of these, (in mint shape if I should mention) in our riding group, infact one of my riding bud would ride this every other Sunday inspite of having a Ninja parked in his garage.
The funduro was, and is beyond those city-highway rip sessions, honestly that is most likely the last thing a typical funduro owner has on his mind.

i hope this bike was still out there.
                                its amazing.
i really look forward to ride this beauty or should i call it a beast?

the real problem is that wrong bikes were launched at wrong time in this country.
