Had I been Mr Ranjeev Bindra, upon being contacted I would have immediately moved it to somewhere out of the way and set about riding it...
He must not be a bike enthusiast. What a waste of a good bike.

The whole story doesn't make sense at all. I'm sure there's something more to what's been said about the bike so far.

o one turned up to claim the super bike, which cops towed away yesterday

In what may perhaps be a case of tax evasion, a Suzuki Boulevard bike, worth over a few lakh rupees, was towed away by the traffic police for not having a number plate.

The super bike was parked outside Cozihom building on the Nargis Dutt Road in Pali Hill and was towed to Khar police station.

According to the watchman, the bike was parked for over an hour outside the building gate before the cops towed it away.

Mean Machine: The bike was parked outside Cozihom building in Pali Hill.

An official from Khar police station, said, "This may be a case of tax evasion as no one has come forward to claim the bike yet."

In May this year, the police had seized over half a dozen imported bikes that were brought illegally in the city.

Besides, there were reports that several bikes were sold to film personalities. The police is scanning the RTO records to find out details about the owners of the bikes.

            Laawaris?

my take on this is that there is got to be more to it, i mean this cant be a case of tax evasion only. Had it been that i am sure it would have not been difficult for the owner to find a buyer who would be willing to take the bike for a fraction of the original price even if it meant that the bike came without any papers. The fact that the bike has simply been dumped could mean that it might have been stolen or involved in some accident....

PS: just a thought how many of us xbhpian's would be willing to buy such a bike for say a lakh or so assuming the bike is not involved in accident and is only a case of duty evasion?

i wud have gladly bought and kept it in my farm house in punjab.

I am feeling really sad for the Boulevard. Sad that, it had to meet such a bad fate.

Well, I guess we should NOT be calling names to the owner who dumped it.

first, He was Clever enough to get it the wrong way , save some money on the cost of buying it.

Second, when it came to people and vehicles being picked up by DRI, we was wiser to let go off that 5-10 Lac rs. worth of Machine. Anything for one's @$$ you see.

Well, if were any smarted he could have dismantled the entire bike, kept the engine safely with him etc...and in case if he had the guts and the passion to build a bike out of one's own creation, he could have used the mighty engine. But not everyone is the same, guess he was one of those Rich Poser Guys!

P.S: That makes me think, a Lot ( and Not everyone, mind it!) bought Busa after Dhoooooom! Did Suzuki company paid anything to the film producer, or did the company appreciate the publicity done by the Film...
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!
