    What to choose from ?

    As the title says I am planning to purchase second hand super bike.

    I am having some little problem that what to choose from hayabusa or R1 ?

    I talked to a dealer he told me that the busa 07 - 08 model will cost you around 4.5
    but you will not get the bill nor the R.C book.
    then my friend suggested me R1.
    then again I talked to another dealer and he told me that you will only get the R.C book not the bill because the bill was given to the RTO at the time of passing, and 07 - 08 model will cost me around 5.5.

    I need some help from you guy's.
    As I am totally new in the super bike market..

    I can give you just one word of advise - Please stay away from illegal imports. A 2007-08 model SBK at JUST Rs.4.5 odd lakhs might sound really tempting at the moment, but believe me, you wouldn't want a headache after you've spent your hard-earned money.

    Rather, try and inquire about any second hand legal R1s, et al if you can. But, stay away from the illegal bikes, please.

      What is legal and illegal in SBK market
      as I told I am totally new in the SBK.

      How can I identify the legal bike ?

      And what problem I will face if the bike is illegal.

        as Aryan told....really the bike of 07-08 model is really make that the bike has problems...wat you face with illegal bike is that you bike will be sized and you have to pay a lot... you will have a lot of problem created by DRI....i had already PM you about the DRI.... so wait for some time and find a good...onw with clean papers and condition .....hope any sbk owner or mod will help you to tell about the sbk....

            That which you buy by stepping into a showroom is legal.
            This is a very simplified explanation but walking into a showroom annd buying the bike is a bullet proof plan of buying a legal superbike.
            'Consider' everything else illegal.

            one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

              Lets just say for now that you will be ass raped if you are caught with an illegal bike. So much so that it aint even funny.

              You will end up paying 15 to 20 lakhs on a bike which you bought for 5 lakhs and yet you wont be its owner. G. of India will be its owner haha

                you told that buy new bike directly from showroom how much it will cost me ?
                14 to 15 lcs
                that's why i decided to buy second hand bike as i am totally new to sbk market and that's the reason why i am asking you guys for help.

                  as ten hut told that govt will be owner..that's for 100%sure.....you can get a clean second hand bike to..but i have to see in the market i will add you up in face book...or i have friend he will sent you a PM on this forum....he has few bikes....maybe he can help you...out... her is the photo of 2007 YZF R1....it may cost you 6++ legally...i am just showing you the bike it is already sold.....thank you

                      ya it was 08 model as 07 & 08 model are...same 09 and 2010 r...Yamaha had launched 7 main version
                      1] 1998 model
                      2] 2000 model
                      3] 2002 model
                      4]2004 model
                      5]2006 model
                      6]2007 model & now
                      7] 2009 .....
                      as i have seen on some site of Yamaha i will post the pics on face book....of all the above model...

                          If u need to go for second hand buy it from a guy who bought it from a showroom. Its simple.
                          Try and find an owner(wanting to sell) who happens to be in your near/distant friend circle.
                          There is a 600 on xBHP for sale somewhere in the sale section but legal 600s will cost u around 10 lacs.

                            official showroom bike.. best buy

                            check out the honda, suzuki, and yamaha showrooms.
                            wise decision would be to buy brand new indian billing sbk from the official showroom, since it will be registered on your name and you will get insurance and warranty.
                            or else buy second hand which again has been bought from official showroom and has a indian billing, where the previous owner can actually transfer and register the bike on your name .
                            anything else....

                              About 99% of all bikes not come through the legal stream ie through yamaha india, honda india etc will have some problems . Check if the full duty is paid on it. It should be about 111% on the invoice price. Cross check the invoice price on the net to see if it is not under-invoiced. The cleanest second hand bikes will be someone selling their official copies
                              Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
