The " usual suspects " line-up is almost complete .When the mad quacker arrives to complete the "rice-rockets " grid. How about a "BULL**** stops when the flag drops " top-end test in our own country for a change .I mean ,a full-on 6th gear top end blast .As, at the moment there's no track big enough to exploit even 3/4th the potential of these litre class rice-rockets.
Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

I'm really confused over here because no where I could find any specs and info about the "2010" Suzuki GSXR 1000. Even on the Suzuki International Site, the latest Suzuki GSXR 1000 that's available is from 2009, and going by Suzuki policy of 2 year production cycle, the next is due only in 2011.

I mean really I might sound a total dumb, but when exactly the 2010 version lauched of the GSXR1000? There is the '10 GSXR600 I know and also the anniversary edition '10 GSXR750, but the '10 GSXR1000.... I'm really scratching my head now

Recession lead suzuki to clear out their 09 stocks. They didnt even launch the '10 gixxer 1000 in the US of A
It doesnt matter as '09 and '10 models are the same except for their colours.

And that's exactly what I was aware of!!

I found an amazing number about the '09 ('10) GSXR1000 over MCN. The magazine claims its peak output as 161bhp I mean it sounds way behind the likes of R1 and Fireblade. Tried double check this figure from the Suzuki International site, but the site does not mention anything about the bike's peak power and torque figures.

Couple of the common criticisms the K9 has faced over reviews are it's not so comfortable handling in corners and its brakes. So, not sure how well the bike would handle in murky Indian conditions.

161 must be output at wheel ,not crank .

Mc-usa puts gixxer at no.2 spot on the 2009 shootout.
and yes guys 161 is at the rear wheel nt at the crank.

only problem is that those bikes are completely different to what you can buy

The motogp bike is completely different with the V4 chassis etc etc so you cant even start comparing.

For the World superbikes, They have a similar idea of an engine. Then you put the petrol tank under the seat, do a LOT of head work and motor work so that the motor can hardly survive a couple of thousand k's, shave weight everywhere possible, and new suspension components. lighter wheels better brakes and a whole lot of other modifications and then you may get close to the WSBK speck

gixxers have always been the wildest of the thousands.the 2008 gixxer i owned was much quicker than the blade and r1 and was superbly torquey due to its longer stroke
