Are you asking the nut in the pic? That's for Neutral light. Remove it (no harm) & switch ON the keys & you cannot see the Green neutral light glowing. If you're doing it, ensure that the blue wire doesn't sink inside the side case.

If you're talking about any other nut here, pls specify or post the pic pls.

Yea, I'd assumed you'd ask that question. That bolt is gear stopper & is used for controlling the neutral position for Rx. Has a ball & spring inside.

Do a trial & error, atleast, that's what I do. If you've a torque wrench, nothing like it.

he he!!! i ve alredy done it...its running gud and shifting is also smooth except some false nuetrals!!! the doubt i had was whether the changes i ve made don impact the gearbox badly!!! coz replacing them is nearly impossible !!!

If you've a false neutral, then...
                      1. Check your engine oil level & quality
                      2. Check for damages & wear & tear on gear main shaft & replace if necessary
                      3. Last but not the least, check the condition of clutch & friction plates. If you've money, then buy the new imported friction plates from YMIS. Costs a bomb, but worth the buy.

1.oil level as shown in that level indicator stick is upto 75% of its length. quality is good i hope as i filled it in YSS.
2.Will give my bike for servicing in this week, so will check that at that time.
3.i change the clutch plates and assembly 3 months back only in YSS ....is that possible this problem can occur so soon?? and next change of clutch plates will be done with those imported friction plates

If you've said it was changed less than few 100 Kms ago, then I would've been convinced on the engine oil.

It also slightly depends on how the friction plates have been stacked & how the oil flows through them.

I suspect your gear main shaft & the quality of oil. I too had lots of false neutrals after my build. The issue was with the brand new gear main shaft. Then the shifting became harder after replacement, now after changing to Motul 5100 the gear shifts are way too smooth. Thanks to Sriram for helping me with Motul. From now on its only Motul 5100.

k ...so from what i understand its because of the shaft and quality of the oil?? rite..!!! I suspected oil level could cause this since there is a crack in the case...because of that there is a very minute leak...!!
