guys.. give me some thoughts regarding riding in this new cylinder.

some says till 2000km have to maintain less than 40kmph some says 1000km is enough..! no idea..

even i hear that after finishing 2000km's rider has to try max speed in each gear like in1st-30, 2nd-50, 3rd-80, 4th-max. is this true?

BTW, do you know how these bearings are removed?
aargee used bearings always have a couple of rough spots it is always wise to replace them once you split the crankcases. My engine is lying in pieces and I can feel a couple of rough spots on both of them and as long as you use the bearing extractor tool nothing can go wrong with the center casing.

Regarding the Goetze CP kit, I asked one of the dealers in Karol Bagh by the name Dewan (something). He said that Cylinder kit is available!!! Not sure

Any idea regarding the pistons and rings?? Are they of any good?

Well, may be, but I wouldn't dare to remove the engine bearing unless they're completely worn out because, it takes quite sometime for the metal binding to happen between the bearing & casing & once it is formed, its better not to touch, as the proverb goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Its a little delicate thing to be touched unless it has been conked!!!

If the existing ones are worn out, then go ahead & change them + follow the STRICT run-in period.

Very true Rustam Nothing can go wrong if proper tools and bearings are used for the engine rebuild!

                  Cheers!!

Lol aargee the bearing can take a hammer and a valve blow and still not break it is that tough My mechanic has something like this to literally pull the bearing out of the crankcase. I gave him the idea before this tool he used to separate the bearing using a car valve and a hammer hahahahaha if it is well lubed nothing is gonna happen to the mating surface

@Dafc - Upto you; the tool shown in the video is similar to Vice. I'm a non-believer of unnecessarily disturbing these stuffs.

Well, Sry, I can't answer you that question because, I'm of the opinion that, I buy an Elephant only if I can feed & when it comes to feeding, I don't count on it

I fill for about a little over Rs 700 & do about 350 Kms over every week. I leave the math to you.

If you've bought at MRP at YMIS , then CONGRATULATIONS & now keep an eye on the guy who fixes the cylinder (unless you do it)

Err...how do you know the piston is Goetze? Did you get in a steel box or did it come with Yamaha OE packing? When I got my 135's in 2009, everything was in factory packing (the std Yamaha red box packing) including the piston kit.
