  • 'Chul' of PERFORMANCE !

It all started with a very loved one Rx 100 from my family. I grown up listening the beat's of it (at that time, it sounds to me like a motocross bike) :P . Evening small rides with my dad (best part is grabbing it's handle bar and sitting on tank) and a chance to twist the throttle on sunday morning !

Grown up a lil' bit and after passing a age barrier of 10 ..... interest towards two wheelers took heights. You all know, in this stage of learning, friends are the most helping one's, mainly in hot summer afternoon's when seniors are busy sleeping !

Lot's of falls .... lot's of wrecks .... learnt each and every basic on this machine aka my dad's Rx 100. So lot's of love and affection was there for this machine. Kinda say, i am emotionally attached to it. In 2003, painted it in indian flag color scheme which looks cool to me, and to other's it was like yukkkkkkkkkk .... LOL

Then here comes a necessary part to start this thread aka PERFORMANCE MODDING

Pre xbhp .... the only known thing was the mighty K & N

Installed it without any prior info and hence, got a weak piston in result ...

Then came xBhp, joined it, posted some queries .... learnt a lot from senior members about modding and how it works. All steps to mod etc etc.

Saving some amount from my pocket money to get all these things done which include :

    1 - Proton Fibre Reeds
    2 - Rx 135 4 speed carb
(no need to upjet the stock rx 100 carb after fittin aftermarket performance air filter)
    3 - K & N RC-1060
    4 - Expansion Chamber

This was the list made up by me and discussed thoroughly with our very own bigbore aka Arun Bhaiya ( I know bhaiya you must be annoyed by my silly questions but thanks for answering them in a very easy manner to a noob like me )

The hunt began, got fibre reeds from Ebay, After installing them, faced a problem of air leakage as reed cage was old. Called up Arun Bhaiya, and he explained me what could be the problem be ! Asked him to get me a new reed cage and BINGO !

Ordered all the above items from him except that K & N which i had owned previously, and yeah, about that matter of dust entering through k & n, i got a jugaad done by my friend by covering it with Splendor's air filter which was almost as same size of K & N (had to do minimal adjustments) !

The wait starts .............. Bhaiya collected up all the item at his place, and couriered them to me ! A big thanks to you again for taking such pain to get me those things !

Package arrived, took it same day to my mechanic for installing it and faced a new problem, the choke kit was not there and didn't got it here in DELHI too. Called up bhaiya again for that, and he sent it tome that too !

About that E.C - Got it from Arun bhaiya, lucky me ! It was made according to his personal preference and damn it is so good ! The build quality and everything is just awesome. Here is the pic of it, sent to me by Arun Bhaiya (bigbore) !

It has a imported muffler (from the Malaysian 6 speed Rxz chamber) and it's custom made !!!!

Finally, got everything assembled today. The mighty K & N, the 135 4 speed's carb, the fibre reeds and the BIG DADDY - Expansion Chamber !

Bike is performing very fine or i can say, superb ...... The mid to high range is just as i expected it should be and off course, the sound, A BIG WOW FACTOR !

At last, want to thank Bigbore aka Arun Bhaiya a lot. Can say - A Saviour to our 2 stroke community

Will upload some pics as soon as i get my bike washed (done some off-roading yesterday and rest of the role is played by rain god )

Sorry for such a long post !

    Pics on page 2 !

I think thats a very good suggestion by "desideep" for you Prakhar! The next upgrade should be a good disk setup for better braking and control. Go for the Gladiator front setup!

Welcome to world or 'Chul' and 2 stroke 'Keeda' ! Good to see you enjoying the bike. Thats a fair list of upgrades you are planning. I would advice you to get a UNI filter rather than a K&N. And you need a disc upfront.

                          some requested pics

                          Love that setup

looks like a dirt bike from back ... LOL

                          Rx 135 4 speed carb

I dunno why, but i am liking this upgrade very much ...

Jugaad India 1 - Covered it with splendor's air filter foam to prevent dust to enter ! (Minor alterations, and VOILA !)

Jugaad India 2 - Crown cap was slipping, so fitted JAWA connector (pardon me, dunno the exact name)

                          Happy's Ending's for now !

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
