  • finally restoring it( yup a rx100)

after watching many restoring threads on xbhp and various other forums, i am finally restoring a yamaha rx 100.
this little bike was in pretty bad shape when we got it, but it was in running state(covered more then 350kms before reaching us), good thing was the engine, which we were told was done up.
    some pics before starting......

    mods planned:
    1)17" rims,
    2)tyres(90/90/17front, 100/90/17 rear)
    3)mild porting,cleaning
    4)silencer
    5)meter console,
    6)wiring, new bar switches,
    7)handle, handle bars,
    8)paint,2k, graphics will follow (:
    9)seat
    10)dry battery
    11)blinkers+lights
    12)shocks
    13)locks
    14)panels
    15)leg-guard
    16)chainset

bike has already been stripped, more or less its like a weekend restoration project,
    now taking shape slowly,
    i will keep thread updated....
    suggestions welcome....

All the best with the restoration project Update with pics!

Why dont you go for a good disk setup for better braking and control since you are getting it ported?

            @all, thanks .....
disk setup was in my mind, if everything proceeds as planned, i will go for gladiator setup..

^^ nice bike, i was looking for this pic for a long time....
if somebody has high res picture of this , please post...
have chosen "metallic copper" for this ride,
wiring part is done, classic controls are gone, making way for fz ones,
some bits and pieces from various other bikes have made their way in bike.placed tank of my other bike, took her for a spin.sounds good..

shocks, rims, tyres, hubs, all in place,

fixing some issues with oil pump, center stand, rear sprocket ,
i will post some more pics tomorrow...

ps.just noticed my pics still need mod approval,
