there is not much to flaunt about the pipe because it was not designed by me. super fast?! you got to be joking! fast enough because i weigh just around 55kg and it is geared taller. along with, maybe just about 2 hp increase in power. that too is nothing much to flaunt about. most alterations was done on the transfers and exhaust. it was my very first effort and it was a success AND it hasn't blown up yetOriginally posted by Vampire View Post
ec cost 2800. the other stuff cost about 1500-1700. fe was checked while using the chamber.Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostLast edited by FATAL1TY - X; 07-25-2011, 09:32 PM.2002 Herculese Top Gear 6 speed

that what i said. you got high rpm power. but for a pretty hard hill climb like "Thamarassery churam", you need better low rpm performance.Originally posted by bikerharis View PostBut I struggled a lot while climbing "Thamarassery Churam".

Would be sporty enough to help?
Hi there,
Excellent work done and i have read the same in another forum as well. I am also planning to do use shogun pistonkit with rx 100 and unfortunately there is no mechanic who can help me in this. Would you be kind and sporty enough to help me in this modification, even i want to beat some of my friends with pulsar and other 4stroke bikes. Please please please.

In order to beat a Pulsar or other 4-strokes, you dont need a Shogun Piston. I will tell you why:
- Searching for a Original "ART" Piston for Suzuki Shogun is next to impossible. Only option is SAM, that way the Mahle & Federal Mogul pistons for RX100 are anyday better.
- Since you are contemplating on using a 110cc piston, why not go for 115cc "ART" piston kit of RX115, the stroke length is the same & this will be much more effective.
- If you have money, please go for a quality sleeve job & plonk in 56mm Wiseco Pistons with matching Porting / Expansion Chamber / Carburetion / Ignition. You can thrash around even bigger hearted 4-strokes, purely depends on your "Vitamin M" capacity.

Karthik

10000+ kms Update
Been on this setup for more than 2 years now. At the end of last year i did a cosmetic rebuild(new frame, electricals, side panels, new paint job, new inner tubes and stuff like. Thanks to Sreeram for sourcing the frame for me
) because of a nasty crash which left me bedridden for almost half an year in 2012. Not much damage to the bike except for a bent footpeg, sareeguard and crashguard. But anyway decided to rebuild.
Also replaced the clutch as it was slipping because of some water seepage issue. Didnt wanted to take any chances, so replaced both the friction and clutch plates. Also replaced the clutch springs. Now using YBX125 springs which they shopguy said is stiffer, along with a spacer to stiffen things further. Dont know how the clutch push rod will take it. But till now, no problems whatsoever(5k kms on the new clutch setup).
Using the Yamalube gear oil and 2t oil is the non branded oil which we get straight from the filling station premixed. Again no probs whatsoever. On October did a 500+km round trip to Wayanad and back with a pillion in heavy rains. Never had a problem even on the long hill climbs, i was mostly in 3rd gear. Mid range is the strongest. So that helped while climbing with a 70+ kg pillion. fe was 28kmpl which is again pretty good considering that there was a pillion onboard, top speed with a pillion was 110 on the odo. average speed was 70-80 considering that the bike wakes up only after 60 kmph in 4th gear and it sucks to go any lower. Below pic taken at thamarassery churam on the way back.
Not much relevance these days, but for the heck of it did a few top speed runs too, hits 100 without any effort. Top speed was 120kph with 110 on the odo coming up almost everytime i hit the highways. There is a fuel starvation issue though. After 120, the bike turns off as there is insufficient fuel flow. Have to try a ported petcock soon. The current one flows only 180cc per minute with fuel filter, and without filter 220cc. Fine during normal rides, but if i plan to ride above 100kmph for a long time, i need a ported petcock. The engine is still strong with all the mods(pretty good for a first attempt i suppose :P). Few "after rebuild"(cosmetic) pictures below
So overall, happy with the setup, awesome midrange. My brother rides it daily and i occasionally when i get tired of R15(its a great machine, but still tiring sometimes :P).Last edited by FATAL1TY - X; 12-06-2013, 02:21 PM.2002 Herculese Top Gear 6 speed

yep all DIY except for the tank and side panel painting and the front forks overhaul. Painting cost me 3k and the sticker job was done by a friend for free. Pretty nice finish, though the paint color was not which i had in mind. The paint shop guy screwed up the mixing. But the finish and quality is top notch, so i turned a blind eye.
Chamber was built by MR. SunilKumar of ORM thrissur. Guy is an awesome restorer and tunes and rebuilds 2 strokes and old four strokes alike(Triumph, BSA, Sunbeam and other famous British marques). Got it build custom for my stock rx 4 years ago and it has been on the bike ever since. Good quality. Except for the dents(which was entirely my fault) everything else on it stays in its place to date. Rust is also very minimal. As it is a shorty, noise is on the high side though.2002 Herculese Top Gear 6 speed
