The Motomix is a Mineral based oil that can give you excellent results during the bedding period. That's what I'm using & I'm in my Run-in now. Avoid going for Motul 510T or the 800T which is Semi Synth & Fully Synth Respectively. The oil that I use for the gear box is Mobil 15W 50 I guess, which I shall confirm if you need that.
Thank u 4 the info on gear box oil and i'll also search 4 motul motomix. Bro, u had mentioned that ur bike has done 1.6k kms after the rebore work right? N if i am not wrong, u just said that u r still in the run in. So how long should this run in last?

My clearances were set a little tight as I wanted, for a reason that the first owner had run the bike 66k kms without a rebore and there was only a thin filament of layer was left in for first O/S, as the Std piston had eaten away the correct clearances required for the 1st O/S. So, I din't have any other choice to run on tight clearances rather sacrificing one size itself. My bike feels really clean & peppy till 60 kms and after that i had never ripped or tried as I can feel the piston moving up & down a bit hard (More of a feeling of what's happening inside) so, I still feel another 1000 kms or so will be required for me to take the bike in normal revving mode.

It gives out a sound like 'suiiiiin' (he hasnt bored it even once till now n the bike has clocked abt 65k kms. Still on the standard size piston!:O n if i keep no ear near my block, it gives out a sound like 'grrrrrr' which is so disappointing
Can a rebore job n a proper runin help me get the sound n the endurance(abt 65k + kms without a rebore ) my friend's bike has got?
N motul is full synthetic oil no bro? I use servo 2t which is available in indian oil bunks. Is this oil ok?
An RX135 4-Speed bore makes less sound compared to 5-speed bore. This is just FYI.

A good rebore job with a 4-speed cylinder will give butter smooth performance unless the ports are fiddled with. If your cylinder is stock, then the FE mentioned by you seems a little low!!!! My friends 4-speed cylinder ported to stage-1 specs give around 38-40Kmpl.

Another important question, the 2nd O/S (58.5mm) ART piston you are talking about, are you sure it was the original 4Y201 ART piston? Did you see it getting installed in your bike?

Next, 0.75mm 4Y201 ART are available, they are imported ones, but genuine stuff. Originally made for RX-King. If money is not a issue then drop in a PM & i will try to source it for you, but don't ever try to compare it with the 0.25mm & 0.5mm kits. If normal city riding is what you need, then go ahead with 0.75mm Godzilla Piston (Goetze).

Also expecting 65000Kms on a single size RX135 cylinder is foolishness, with sane riding max without performance drop is 40000Kms.

In mysore there are few big names like, Akbar, Chotu, Azghar who do the job very well (they are all into auto-cross & sometimes even drag racing). Try them & next time ride slowly till you complete 1500Kms (within 50Kmph) for run-in for your own bike's safety.

For 2-T oil, use Shell or Yamalube, that should be good enough for your stock motor.

@karthikdattag: thank u bro. Yes! I am 100% sure that the second oversize piston that has been put is original coz both ART n 4Y201 r embossed on the inside of the piston!
And y did u stress this "dont u ever try to compare 4Y201 ART .75 piston with .25 and .5? Is it that .75 ART piston isnt good? And how much would it cost?

0.75mm & 1.00mm ART piston kit finish & quality is way way better than 0.25mm & 0.5mm. The very look & performance you can make out the difference. You get that mirror finish in these & that itself is pretty orgasmic, it always reminds me of wiesco like finish.

hello maniac ...yea to know how to follow a proper fault free run-in please follow Ram/dualdisc200 instruction(he had done lot of research on it unlike us )!! and you can't get the smoothness of your friend's engine because for god's sake its a stock engine bored in Yamaha factory!! also those models(Rx tigers) are known for thier smoothness (atleast here in Coimbatore) and fuel efficiency(50-60)!! dont ask me the reason coz even i am searching for it!!
Another important thing is the quality of the finish!!my stock 4speed bore was sleeved very good ,that i did not follow a run-in at all!!(actually i did not know that i have to follow run in since i was new to bikes at that time).on the first day of getting the bike itself i was reaching some good speed(i guess the max it can do)!! its highly not recommended though!!
