@Ashwin, it is not that I don't know Kinetic ZX. I've used a brand new one of my cousin's. I know its limits on the road. FYI.. Kinetic Honda initial batch (1986/7) were best machines with smoothness and engineering marvel that many runs till now. No questions on their reliability. The later model ZX is swift, but comparing with legends is unwarranted. It only shows your limited knowledge of what RX is capable of.

Sriram, i agree the initial lot of Kinetic Honda were awesome, the Y2K models were restricted due to emission norms. But there is no way that a kine in stock trim can pose any threat to an RX. For sure it can give a lot of competition to bikes like HH Splendor & Suzuki Samurai.

This thread is getting awesome!!!! So here's my 2 cents!

Two strokes rule, and always will, 4 strokes maybe green but they just don't thrill!!!

Man don't worry.....everyone learns the hard way and so will he. But I'm still very interested in what his Kine will look like after it has been restored. It's been a very long time since I saw one.

Ashwin a sincere request to you to stop posting like this....you obviously have no in depth knowledge about how an Internal combustion engine works,and have to patiently learn..merely saying that a kinetic will smoke a RX means nothing...and putting a piston of an engine in to a quite different one is not easy.......I know from personal experience......everyday TVS 50 XL smokes my Karizma in city traffic, so is it any better....Right from the piston to bore and all the material used in engines differ from one design to the other...Concentrate on your Exams first and then concentrate in Learning about engines........
I am still learning for the past 30+ years and I find myself wanting in Knowledge....

Well said bro. Me and Sarin knows Aswin personally. Just don't take his findings seriously. He is just learning things and totally ignorant about the RXs.
BTW, He hates R15 just because he thinks the bike is too small

Mr.Sarin,Mr.Ashwin and Mr.Aneesh are all my friends through different forums & threads....I don't want Ashwin to get carried away like a baby with new toy and lose focus,which is why I said First Exams and then other learning.
He needs time and perseverance to learn, and this he must keep in mind to succeed , and should never jump to conclusions...wishing Ashwin best always.

Yeah, Try it next time you ride you'r kiney, am not sure about the DX's but when doing that on a ZX you'll surely know why I said it'll beat an RX.

Exams over for the time being sir, was hoping to ride back home on my ZMA, but those SVC guys didnt lay a finger on it yet.

I've just started riding a bike for the fast 3 months, so I guess it'll take eons before I reach upto you guys. So forgive me if I've gone abit offboard...

BTW, you can't beat the RX with ZX and R15 is far better than your ZMA. (I like both though

Yup.. Next DIY's going to be the best.. I just hope we get to do it soon.. Am still worried about getting the parts and their cost's.. Thinking of visiting the scrap yard soon... Maybe next g2g I'll bring my ZX... Recently read somewhere that a mere exhaust swap can kill a 2stroke if not done properly, so am doubting whether the FFE was responsible for killing my bike.

R15's a marvel of tech just like every other yamaha products that's ever been made, it's the only bike thats been able to bend the rules of physics on indian roads till now... But keep in mind... The decade old ZMA's still its competition.

First the 150 then the 180 then the 180DTSI then the 200 then the 220 DTSFI then the 220 Carb then the R15.... Just keep em comming... ZMA's ALWAYS GAME!!!

And I do respect 2 strokes guess thats why I still keep my ZX even though my dad wants to scrap it...

Saw you'r signature you owned a chetak right.... My dad had a BAJAJ Super 150 too, but was scrapped when he had to go abroad.
